Midway West Drive-In

This place is great! Pull up, the come out to your car, pay when your food is brought out. Fast and friendly service, and had that old drive in dinner type feel. It is an Huntington, WV staple that opened in 1939. I had their famous Midway hot dog with onion, mustard, and sauce on the bottom of the bun. They also have those classic crispy crinkle fries, cheeseburgers, & homemade milkshakes.Don't let the sketchiness of the neighborhood or the outside dumpy, run-down appearance fool you. This place is a treasure and they have an amazing sauce and have served up some of the best hot dogs around.

My dad had surgery at St Mary's so I did a Huntington Hotdog sauce crawl. Midway, Frostop, Sam's and Stewart's. So much fun!!! I had never been to Midway and totally enjoyed it. Thank you for serving the area for all these years. Many towns have no local spots so what a blessing the Tri-state area has to have so many. I'm up to trying 7 hotdogs with sauce and onions now. 2-3 to go before I get to get back to Louisville in a few weeks. An older couple recommended the Beef bbq which we enjoyed. It doesn't have BBQ sauce on it but has a good flavor. And trying something new is fun.

Great food, really friendly people, and fair prices. Quick service. Clean area. Would recommend anytime.

Diner. Burgers, hot dogs, and fries. Root beer. Need I say more? Been here a long time. Burgers are good good good. Give the place a try.

Solid, local, fast food. Their food is high quality and reliably good. I would venture to say it's the best burger in Huntington.

This place reminded me of when I was little and drive-ins were popular. I was surprised to find they used trays, rather than just putting the food in paper bags. My daughter got a hotdog with chili sauce and a side of onion rings. I ordered a BBQ pork sandwich and fries, (yes I did cheat). Everything thing was good and fresh. Servers were all friendly, helpful and obviously hardworking. Take a step back in time and stop by here.

Ever since they closed the lobby due to covid, people who don't have a vehicle don't get the same priority that people driving vehicles does. The last few times i have been there, i have watched people who have gotten there after me get their food before i do. My order should be just as important as the people in vehicles.

The buns were a sloppy mess when eaten with sauce. The sauce was fairly runny. About the same as other local hot dog establishments. Nothing to write home about.

Used to be a big fan of Midway. My husband and I would eat there once or twice a week. The prices had gone up considerably, but we loved the food and like to support small businesses. A few weeks ago, I pulled in close to time they were closing. I just wanted a root beer to go. I sat in my car for 10 minutes and was never acknowledged. While waiting, I noticed what I assume the cook touching his pony tail with food grade gloves on. I ended up leaving. I won't ever return to Midway.

Absolutely awesome family dinner! Friendly staff, excellent value, delicious food! An easy road trip stop right off the highway that we'll plan to visit again anytime we're driving through again.
