Wonderful B&B on 2 secluded acres. My wife and I have stayed with Chaz and Kim (the owners) multiple times, and we can't recommend it enough -- either for an event, or just renting a room for the evening. The gardens and grounds are especially beautiful -- I can't imagine a better place for a wedding. The old growth trees provide plenty of shade, making even those hot summer weddings tolerable. Location is great as well -- Bardstown Rd and Cherokee Park are just a short drive away.

Wow! Wow! Wow!Two of my dearest friends tied the knot recently, and I cannot fathom a better venue for their wedding. With the wedding day scheduled for a Saturday, the bridal party and groomsmen were able to leave gowns, beauty products, suits, and overnight bags in our rooms the Friday before upon completing the rehearsal. This allowed for an easy situation to walk in to on the morning of the wedding as we prepared for the ceremony later that afternoon. The house was built in the mid 1800s and has been kept within the family since then. The current owners, Kim and Chaz, take great pride in the house and were extremely accommodating towards our group. They were on hand throughout Saturday to answer any questions. As a history nerd, I loved speaking with them more on the history of the house and the surrounding gardens (that were stunningly beautiful in September) as I snuck a cigarette on the back porch during the reception. When the bride & groom booked the venue, they were also able to secure accommodations for the bridal party. Considering that all five of the bridesmaids live over an hour away, it made for the perfect place to crash post reception. Our two flower girls had a ball exploring the house and spent the night as well with no problem. To top off the magical wedding weekend, Kim and Chaz prepared coffee and breakfast on Sunday morning for the guests that spent the night. I highly recommend considering Midlane Farm as a special events venue. The service we received certainly deserves five stars!

Chaz and Kim, I know we met almost a year ago, so you may not remember us, but we certainly remember you. You both provided such a perfect experience at your B&B. I'm so glad we decided to stay with you guys. You really helped make my birthday and our (kinda sorta) anniversary a truly special time that we still rant and rave about! My boyfriend and I wanted to take a little road trip for my 30th birthday last year. We were thinking Nashville, but a 7.5 hour drive for a three day trip seemed a bit much. So we did some research on Louisville and thought it would be perfect. Lots more vegan dining options than expected and bourbon abound? Yeah, it was a no brainer. So we found Midlane Farms through AirBnB and it was perfect for us. Beyond reasonable prices, breakfast included, beautiful scenery, easy driving and two adorable dogs? Sign me up! When we arrived (much later than expected due to our dog sitter arriving late to take our dog with her, but Kim and Chaz didn't mind at all), there was a bottle of champagne waiting in our room. Kim did a little sleuthing via Facebook to discover that today was our anniversary. How. Freaking. Sweet! Kim also made us breakfast every day that we were there. She asked us upon booking if we had any dietary restrictions and we told her we were vegan. Apparently, we were her first vegan guests but we would have never known! She made delicious vegan pancakes just for us, along with fresh squeezed juices, fruit and coffee. Chaz and Kim were also nice enough to give us a tour of the rest of the house (which is an historical landmark, btw), and it was absolutely stunning. You can tell they work hard to preserve it. Also, they had these lovely stone coasters in our room and I accidentally broke one (bourbon may or may not have had something to do with it). We went shopping before we left to replace them and Chaz, in turn, hooked us up with a huge bottle of his homemade hot sauce (which we still have and use frequently to this very day). In short, they went above and beyond so many times. They truly know what it means to be amazing hosts. Finally, they let us know that some vendors were coming by to set up a photo shoot outside to promote weddings there. My boyfriend and I are not married, but it definitely got us thinking about where we'd like to tie the knot, and Midlane Farms is definitely on that list after seeing how beautiful it was for the photoshoot!Thank you again, Chaz and Kim! My boyfriend's 40th is coming up soon and even though we usually like to go to a place we haven't been before for our birthdays, we may just have to make an exception this time around!
