Ay Dios mío! I love this market. The staff are very friendly, and prices are reasonable. They have a great produce department, and an aisle full of Mexican cookware. They offer lots of Mexican spices, and their beverage aisle has lots of variety. This place is worth the drive!

I was really excited to find a new Latin food market, as a proud Latina who loves to cook her family recipes I wanted this place to be my go-to shop for all things I couldn't find in my local grocery store's "international section" (eyeroll) but unfortunately I found it not to be the case. I went in looking for ingredients to make empanadas ( like a crescent shaped meat pie)Soon to find out this store had a whole lot of nothing (like our ingredients for empanadas) , if your looking for authentic ingredients this ain't your place to go. Yes, there was a produce section, and a taqueria in the back, but when I go into the only Latino market in Louisville, I expect to find the ingredients that I can't get at my local Kroger's, where here everything was the same as any other market, just with everything imported. Essentially this place serves as a great resource to mainly Spanish- speaking Louisvillians because it's just like a regular grocery store with the comfort of speaking your native language, however if your looking for speciality ingredients to make sure you meals taste the same way your abuelita makes it, you might want to look around some more.

I'm a full on regular here. This is my Mexican market, and I doubt that will change. Just haven't seen any others quite as good... ( in Kentucky ) at least. There's some good deals on house made cheeses and cheaper cuts of meat. The bread and pastries are legit. It's lacking some love in produce which makes me have to stop elsewhere which can get annoying... Oh well. The people are friendly for the most part, just really quiet. Needs some more shelf tags too lol... It all comes with the territory though. I'll be back, often!

I guess I'm super biased after working closely with Mexicanos and living in the west for a few years... Selection of product was ok, moldy tortillas on the shelf. It's a bummer cause I was crossing my fingers after I relocated here that I might find fresh ( or fresher..) tortilla here in Lou. No dice. Ate tacos. The lengua was decent, but the "pastor" if it can be called that ( no spit roasted marinated pork con piña) was tough and not super appetizing. Not as cheap as I'm used to, or as good. Gonna try elsewhere. Guess there isn't as big of a Mexican presence here than where we were last ( Ohio?).

I love this grocery. Not only is it reliable, but the fruits and vegetables are delicious, but the deli has fresh meats and cheeses.
