Mi Mexico

Found this little gem of a place just off I-75, less than half a mile from the hotel I am staying at in the middle of what it feels like nowhere... and was pleasantly surprised! We liked it so much we went back a second time.Night One: My friend had the cheese enchiladas, and she loved them. I had the chicken soup and it hit the spot! Loaded with chicken and had great flavor. I love avocado in my chicken soup and was pleased it was included as well as some pico de gallo and limes...mixed it all together in my soup and it was delish!Night Two: my friend had the Chicken Enchiladas Suiza and I had the Pizza Ala Mexico.The service was prompt and friendly, and our food was served quickly. We were treated to a large basket of chips with salsa. The chips were delicious, but I wish the salsa had a little bit more flavor (some chopped onion, cilantro and lime would have made me happy), it was kind of bland.

Unassuming place with wonderful service and the food was right on! I had the fajitas and it was fresh and delicious. Same with the sides of beans rice and pico de gallo. I would definitely recommend this establishment

This is a very small place with very limited parking that's right on the main road. It doesn't look like much but the food and service were great! We were immediately sat, chips and salsa right away, and if I had to guess our food took 7-8 minutes to come out after ordering. This area is dry so alcohol wasn't served. Chicken fajitas 8.5/10Chips and salsa 8.5/10It was a great little spot to eat during my visit to Linville Lake. If you need some food for cheap, I recommend this place.

The food was really good. We pulled off of I-75 looking for some food and decided on Mi Mexico. It's in a small building on the west side of 75 on the right. They sat us right away. The waiter came right away and took our orders. The food came quite quickly and was perfect and hot. Everything was tasty. I had a beef chimichanga with rice and beans. My wife had chicken tacos on soft corn. We enjoyed both. They play some Spanish music over the radio. We will stop again on our next drive through this area.

Just had lunch here.On the drive home we found this lil Mexican place! Great food fast service. I ordered the Picodegallo ( steak with zucchini mushrooms onion ) served with Mexican rice , beans , and flour tortillas.My husband ordered Alcapulco Especial.Highly recommend! Was too hungry to take pics. Sorry!

MI MEXICOMount Vernon, KYWe enjoyed some of the best food we've had in many years of enjoying Mexican dishes. I had the pollo fundido and hubby had the shrimp chimichanga and oh, my, so very good. My pollo fundido was a bit different than usual in that the chicken had been sliced in narrow strips then cut into shorter pieces and seasoned lightly with something delicious and quickly sautéed along with some almost tender, thinly sliced green bell peppers and onions, all just beginning to brown on the edges. The cheese sauce was thinner than I've had previously, but seasoned beautifully. I'd love to know the seasonings used to make this delicious pollo fundido.The shrimp chimi was hands down the best either of us have had. Large, perfectly cooked shrimp, peppers and onions with a wonderful sauce, all subtly seasoned.We were ready to return the next day! Thanks for a wonderful meal.

We are locals and LOVE Mi Mexico. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, the food is always delicious, and there's an air of relaxation and fun while dining there. Price Point is great. Highly recommend.

Such a friendly and familiar atmosphere. Not to mention the food was delicious. Got the mega burrito and boy was it HUGE! A small spot, tucked away but definitely coming back next time I pass through
