We went to Masa for my husbands birthday. He loves sushi and this is his favorite place due to the dessert options. He got sushi for two and it arrived on a boat, much to our 10 year old's pleasure. The sushi and sashimi are excellent. Our soup wasn't hot though, I do recommend they look into that. The salad dressing, while watered down, was tasty and it was the first time I enjoyed ginger dressing. Our son loved his mochi and of course my husband enjoyed his dessert roll.

First off, I want to say I'm writing this as someone that was a loyal customer for years. During Covid I went here quite a bit and the food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. That is not the case with my experience today or the past few times if I'm being honest. I ordered the Spicy Maki dinner with eel sauce and a side of hibachi noodles. I should mention that my mother was going to eat the side of hibachi noodles because she just wanted noodles. After getting home, I discovered there was no noodles, no eel sauce (which you pay a dollar extra for) and decided to call to see if we could at least be refunded. After speaking to the manager/owner we were told that we could come back and get it or when we come in next time to mention the noodles and eel sauce and we could get it then. They would not just credit my money back. To top it all off the prices have went up astronomically. Let's be real, gas is not cheap. No one wants to drive back after doing a takeout order that should be correct. Out of frustration, I put my sushi in the fridge and we drove back to the restaurant. I told the owner I was there for my noodles and eel sauce and to please include chopsticks. I was handed a box with the sauce container on top and the noodle box was covered in the noodle sauce. No bag or anything for this so you can guess that my mother had to clean her floorboard since it got sauce on it. I received an apology and was sent on my way. To top it all off, the noodles I was given was a much smaller portion than I've ever received there. Definitely not enough for anyone to enjoy. It took all of 3 minutes to finish it (if that). To add further insult to injury, I also noticed and had forgotten that the spicy maki dinner comes with soup and a salad. Neither were included. Onto the food, the sushi quality has tremendously declined. Believe me, you'll get better at Walmart. I had noticed this on my last visit as well. I should also mention that the side orders are marginally smaller. I had even noticed this the last time we ordered hibachi there that the portions had gotten smaller all the way around. Both my mother and I were so frustrated that we both decided to write a review. I'm very disappointed as this was one of my favorite restaurants and I frequently did carry out here during Covid and always talked with the owner. After today, it is with great sadness that I will not be coming back to this restaurant. Low quality food, rising prices, and extremely bad management/ service make this a restaurant that I will no longer visit. Go elsewhere for Sushi, London does not have a good sushi place anymore.

We've been coming here since we moved to Corbin from AZ about two years ago. We always liked the food and service here. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. An hour at the indoor range next door and a meal at Masa makes for a great date night.The reason I'm writing this review now is because I think they hired a new sushi chef that obviously loves his job. I could tell a difference the moment the plate hit the table. All of the cuts were choice and the plate was arranged and decorated like a plate you'd see in a Hawaiian resort. Good job dude. I hope you're behind the counter every time we visit.

I will preface this with I don't love to give less than stellar reviews. But this place seemed very promising. They have a huge menu with lots of great options to choose from. So it took me a while to decide what I wanted. I decided on a few smaller items. I ordered through DoorDash, which was super quick, only like 20 minutes from the time I placed the order until it arrived at my door.But....... The food tasted like nothing, literally. I thought I had Covid again and couldn't taste. I had the chicken pad Thai, which didn't have a taste and you can't pick your heat level so it was just bland. Miso soup, oh, so, bad. Just some tasteless broth and one piece of tofu? Just awful. Which brings me to the side salad. Just bagged lettuce, no other veggies, with watered down ginger dressing that also tasted like nothing. I also ordered a Philadelphia sushi roll for my lunch the next day. The avocado was brown already and it was also tasteless. They did give ginger and wasabi, however. Which helped to improve the taste. I understand this is one of the only hibachi places in town, but the food was just terrible. You can tell they skimp on ingredients. I most likely won't order from them again.

I don't ever give reviews but today's service was awful. We've been here a few times and the first and second time the waiter was alright. This time when we went the waitress was very short and rude. My husband asked for yum yum sauce for his sushi and she questioned him what he needed it for. Anytime we said thank you or would ask her for something she would walk away while we were asking. She didn't even give us refills till we asked after we were done with our food. She didn't come and check on us any while we were eating. I used to be a waiter and manager and even when you have a bad day, you don't act like that towards customers. There were more rude stuff that was small that we tried to brush off but we will not be back. We will be going to Yamatos in Corbin from now on. Yamatos has always had great service and food.

We ordered take out. We ordered a dinner and a side item. Picked it up and took it home only to find the main entree was the only thing in the bag. We called and asked if they could add the side item and sauce back to my card $6 and they said no. We all know they could. We had to drive back down there and pick up my side and sauce. The side was half full and they wouldn't even put it in a bag. Then, we come home looked at the menu and there should have also been a salad and soup with the dinner. Don't waste your time here. They don't care and their food used to be good, but it is very low quality now. They have also raised their prices astronomically for poorer grade food. Totally not worth it and we will be driving to Knoxville for good sushi! London doesn't have the Sushi Market cornered, unless you've never had Sushi before from a reputable place.
