Martin's 3L Tavern

This is a cash only dive bar with a awesome dart board.You will smell like a walking cigarette when you leave, but I had a good time at this place. The people were friendly, the jukebox was digital with a good, new selection. There are plenty of TVs and usually at least one has on horse racing. A pool table that seemed nice, although I didn't play.

We drive past this bar all the time since it is on 3-L highway (more commonly called Madison Pike). This time we decided to stop in for a cold beer. The sign out front said 'Happy Hour 4-7' so we thought, "why not!" It is a super casual and friendly mom & pop dive bar and I mean that in a good way. We prefer mom & pop's over chain establishments. We sat at the bar and our bartender, Darren, was very friendly. We were interested in a particular sports program on TV and Darren was happy to find it for us. They have a patio/deck out back that we might try next time. (If you are trying to place this location in your head, it is where 'Someplace Else' use to be, if that helps.) Stop in for a cold one!

Reminiscent of the 'golden age' of bars with a Cheers-esque feel. We popped in on St Paddys this year and the bartender was phenomenal! He really took care of us. Fantastic service with the nostalgia tip! Great place!
