Malone's - Louisville

This is our 2nd visit to Malones, but this time we went to the Harry's side. Inside was spacious room with high tops and booth seating along the walls. We had a party of 6 in our party and an infant. We choose a booth which held 6 fairly comfortably. I asked the first waitress if we encountered if we could have a high chair and she immediately said and pointed they are over there ( typically the waitress(er) usually get them for you. They have several TV's so one of our party is Guatemalan and asked if they could put on a soccer game; she snapped; yeah when you sit down, but we were in the process of settling in our booth.I'm like oh no bad choice to come here. She must of been having a bad day. We ended up with another waitress (Elizabeth C ).She got the high chair and got the channel changed to soccer and a genuinely nice person. She took good care of initially with drinks until our next 2 of our party arrived. From that point on she was fabulous in taking our orders and keeping tabs on us. Now the true ambience and service came out that we would expect.We had calamari, wings, hamburgers ( adult and child ), a salad and several sushi orders and a few brews. The food was fresh and tasty and service was great with Elizabeth on duty.I really like the concept that you can order off the Malone's or Harry's menu.We kind of came to the conclusion we may make this one of our staple places to eat and bring our guests to in the future. I do hope the other waitress gets things sorted out because this is such a nice place hate to have customers get the wrong impression.Thank you Elizabeth for saving the day!

Options abound. You can either dine in the more formal bar and table area or casual upper or lower Harry"s. Harry's seating bar/table is first come.. Regardless of your choice you can order off either menu in all three areas.Depending on your choice of menus it changes the side/salad options.As an appetizer we like the dumplings with spicy beef filling. The Lexington said which is bottomless comes with Malone entrees. Its a great salad but way overdressed so we ask for our salad dressing on the side. Loaf bread is served with Malone entrees.We think the best value is the twin filets which we like Oscar style (generous crab).The staff is friendly and accommodating. There are managers everywhere that actually help the staff and patrons. The bartenders craft great drinks especially Colin.There is a loyalty program so sign up and track your points. The food, service, and ambiance was spectacular. The New York strip I ordered was cooked to perfection. The Crab Rangoon Roll with Sweet Chili sauce was delicious. My family and I had enough food to take home and have a meal for a second night. Well worth the money!

We recently went back to Malone's during happy hour and the atmosphere is still nice. Our servers were very nice and we had the crab dip for an appetizer. It came with seasoned crostinis that made the entire dish a bit salty, but the dip itself was creamy and came with large chunks of crab, which is always welcomed. The burgers were just okay but I'd still give it a relatively high rating because we've had better items before.

Harrys, upstairs from Malones has gotten to be one of our absolute favorite restaurant in Louisville! We go 2-3 times a month. It never disappoints. Great service, fresh food, fun atmosphere. I would give it 10 starts if I could.

We went there last night for son's military promotion to Captain. Our reservation was right on time. We got the crab dip appetizer which was pretty good. With most meals you receive an endless Lexingtonian salad which is nice. 2 of our steaks were too salty so the management remade 2 on the fly and the second ones were scrumptious. The manager, Rob, was nice enough to take our steaks off the bill. We ordered sushi before we got our steaks and those were always good. Rob the manager, Blake, and his assistant gave us wonderful service. We ordered their potato croquettes with the steaks which are always great. They gave us a free dessert for the promotion celebration. This place is always a great place for dinner. With the 2 steaks taken off and the 25% military discount the bill was beyond reasonable. Again, thank you Robert for taking care of us.

On a whim, my husband and I tentatively walked in and inquired if it was ok we didn't have a reservation and were dressed casually. They welcomed us warmly and we ended up having an amazing experience with a delicious meal. It was on the early side, so we both got the happy hour special of burger and a side. But what a burger and side!! It was the best burger we both have had in a long time! And the sides we chose were both excellent: the potato croquettes and crispy brussel sprouts. So so good!! Each table also gets bread with Boursin cheese spread... they do that right. The bread was hot, fresh and great quality and it was delicious with the herbed Boursin cheese- such a nice touch. The ambiance was elegant and high end (we will have to come back for a proper date night or celebration) and the service was impeccable. Our server, Jason E was so kind and attentive. I highly recommend Malone's and we look forward to being back!

Belated birthday dinner date for my husband with another couple. We had been trying to get a reservation here for a while and finally snagged one a few weeks ahead on open table! We ordered the fried green tomatoes (3 per order) appetizer and asked for the aioli and the Old Bay honey on the side. Both were amazing flavor pops & I could've eaten an order or two of these as a meal! Complimentary bread with some sort of creamy cheese spread was brought out also. The guys ordered the ribeye and a smoked old fashioned each and oh my bourbon goodness this was the best old fashioned that I've shared a few sips from in the Ville. So good! I ordered the grilled salmon and a side of Brussel sprouts and they were perfectly glazed and delicious! My friend ordered the battered fish meal and it came with a lot of pieces and a side of choice. The salad was good but we purposely didn't fill up on it to leave room for our meals. Our waitress was friendly, talked bourbon with us, and kept refills going. The food took awhile to come out and we had the salad out first and appetizer much later. It was a busy night here so we chalked it up to that. We loved the lighting, the vibe of this place, and definitely plan to return and also check out Harry's upstairs! Great spot for a special occasion or nice date night!

Came here on a Friday evening (7pm). We had reservations for a table for 4. Upon arrival we were sat promptly. Our server came right over and had an amazing attitude. We told her it was out first time and she walked us through the menu explaining the various steak options in detail. It was a very busy place, but it wasn't overly loud. It seems like the perfect place for a date, double date and even family gathering. The prices were reasonable for what you get. You also get salad for the table which is a nice touch. I ordered steak which I asked for Medium Rare and it was cooked to perfection. It was seasoned well, and the meat was very tender. I also ordered the potato cake which was very good as well. Something different, and unexpected. We did take an uber from downtown Louisville and it was about a 20 minute drive so if you happen to be staying down that way it's a little bit of a drive. All in all a great experience!

Love the filet combos. We been here several times for business and it hasn't missed yet. Everything has been great!
