I really enjoyed the atmosphere and service but I feel the food could have been a bit better. I would have rather seen/had some homemade potato chips vs some store bought chips as my side. Also the same goes for the buffalo chicken dip, I feel the plain Tostito rounds just weren't it and should have been restaurant style tortilla chips. My favorite thing was the bar setup and the close proximity to have some good bar conversations for sure.I'd be willing to try some other things here though if ever given the chance to go back.

Nice local bar and restaurant for a burger and beer. I had a very tasty specialty sandwich and a beer. Renovated old house with good character including a classic bar and outdoor dining. Friendly service and atmosphere for a traveler dining at the bar with the locals.

This locally-owned neighborhood bar and restaurant is located in a converted older home on Main Street in the historic downtown area of La Grange. Train tracks run down the middle of Main Street and while we watched a train through the window while waiting on our meal. In addition to a bar area, there are multiple rooms with seating. The ambiance is cozy and nostalgic, and it feels as though you are sharing a drink and meal in someone's home. There is also an outdoor patio with seating. The menu has a variety of options, mostly higher-end bar-type dishes. I had the cheeseburger salad and it was huge and delicious. Our table shared appetizers (stuffed mushrooms and goat-cheese/artichoke dip with chips) and they were both great too, especially the goat-cheese/artichoke dip! This will definitely be where I get a meal when I visit La Grange. Parking is available in a lot behind the restaurant and street side in the walkable neighborhood.

We wanted to try something new and after perusing Yelp decided to try this place, it looked like it had great menu options, including a kids menu. This is not a family restaurant, it's a dive bar. Dive bar ambiance and service (we sat ourselves, got our own utensils, and our own condiments from the shelf). However, the saving grace was the food. Their food was excellent. Everything we had was delicious. Not a place for kids, but definitely someplace I will return to without them.

We hit this spot up once a week. The thin house made specialty baked pizzas are absolutely amazing and unique. When Scott is behind the bar he never misses and always offers the best service. I almost don't want to write a review about this little gem as the word must be getting out since it's gotten crowded. During the summer they have a nice outside seating area beautifully lit with string lights and you can watch trains go by on nostalgic Main Street.

Bartender was super friendly and we loved the atmosphere. It is our new favorite bar when we come to Lagrange. Hope the next time to try the food.

This place is great. It's a corner bar/ dive bar feel with great food. We started with the stuffed mushrooms They were good but not slap your momma good. Then we had a club sandwich, a cheeseburger and the brisket and Swiss sandwich. All of them were good. The burger was great! Probably one of the best burgers I've eaten out in a year or more. I definitely recommend it. Service was good. Not super fast or annoyingly slow. Our server Chris was young and seemed new, but he was attentive. He was wearing a muscle shirt which was odd at first but he pulled it off and he was good looking so we'll call that a plus. We were too hungry to remember to take pictures of the food before we ate it. But it looked as good as it tasted.

We went back a year later and still enjoyed it! The burgers are only cooked medium well or well, so don't expect anything different. This year, we were fortunate enough to stay at an Airbnb right across the train tracks, so we had a very short drive home.

Yes, it's a dive but it's good food, service is good and a place where we can go and have good food. Tv is usually down low but you can still see if a good game is on- any sport at any time. They have a good select of etoh (alcohol) according to family who like a variety of beers and bourbons. The chef is one who likes to give the client both sweet and savory combined dishes which is so refreshing. He really focuses on flavor. Do: look at the menu before you go. It's huge and yummy. I recommend the hot brown pizza and the wings. Yes, you're gonna love it! Try a different mix of foods fit to challenge your palate, if you dare. Add it to a great brew or bourbon or a mocktail (my preference) spicy Bloody Mary). Tip your waiter/waitress/bartender bc they do a good job attentive being there.
