Lucia's World Emporium

How did I not know about Lucia's before? Lots of awesome stuff at great prices in the shop and all supporting a fair trade artisans. You can make a day visiting all the warehouse block has to offer but definitely stop by Lucia's!

This is Lexington's go-to place for fair trade shopping. They sell anything from home decor to clothing to jewelry, all handmade and demonstrating the skills of various communities from around the world. You can especially find things that are upcycled from other materials. Every time I visit Lucia's, I can't keep my eyes off the colorful lampshades decorated with large leaves. As someone who loves to craft, this is the type of a store where I really enjoy shopping. Even if I don't get to buy anything, I do enjoy looking through all the beautiful things made by skilled hands. Location is probably the only reason why I don't give this place 5 stars. Previously located in the Woodland park area, the new location of Lucia's is tucked away on the intersection of N Ashland and National Avenues. Although I work out in this neighborhood, I didn't notice this shop until later. This new location is split into two, with a small store front and an adjacent warehouse for the business. I hope that with more businesses opening in this area, they will get more foot traffic and might even expand their store front!

I'm so happy I found a fair trade store in Lexington! I love the alpaca collection and the employees are so friendly! Julianne is always showing me new products and clothes to try on - she really knows her stuff. Lucia's is a great place to get gifts for anyone in your life. Love it!

Very cool place. There items for sale were all beautiful and a lot of them seemed hand made. Good pricing as well!

I really love this place. They pack a huge amount of merchandise in a small space and have a large variety. They put all your smaller items in boxes or bags, which is great for gift giving. The only thing I don't like is how they never take their eyes off you, as if they're sure you're going to steal something if they look away for a second.
