Los Dos Amigos

Went on the recommendation of a friend. It was good but could have been better. They charge for chips and salsa if you get a refill and didn't bother to tell me until I saw it on the check. The food was a bit overpriced IMO but the people were nice. Their English was very limited when trying to order. I would go back if in the area and friends wanted to go but won't make a special trip to see them.

Los Dos Amigos: where the salsa has more rhythm than I do and the guacamole is so good, it could probably solve world problems. This locally-owned gem makes me question why I ever attempted to make tacos at home - theirs are the real MVPs. Five stars for turning my taste buds into a lively Mexican fiesta, and for making me seriously reconsider my culinary skills. Gracias, Los Dos Amigos, for giving my taste buds a vacation south of the border!

Favorite Mexican restaurant in Nicholasville wish it was in my city I'd go there every week. My favorite dishes are Mike's Special and the Fajitas Quesadilla as the chicken there is never dry or fatty just tender and juicy Plus who is going to say no to burritos stuffed with chicken drenched in queso? I also would recommend the queso and salsa that's usually what indicates a good or bad Mexican spot whether they can nail the most simplest of items. Food is always freshly prepared and served hot sometimes even steaming if you happen to order fajitas. It has a very big menu with decent prices for the quality you are receiving actually went here a lot during college they knew my order as it's family owned which shows they care about their customers and don't lack being personable. My friend introduced me to Los Dos and I cherish them with the act of doing so just as much as I do the food!

As far as Tex-Mex places go, this is certainly above average for the Nicholasville area. The portions are fairly large, the selections seem to be fairly large as well. The atmosphere is average, nothing to complain nor write home about. The service is friendly, albeit a little slow. The serving of guacamole with the meal is unexpectedly large, and the sides are pretty well done. If you are in the area and looking for Mexican food, I would certainly suggest this place. I have had multiple dishes here now, and I have not yet been disappointed by any of them. Los Dos is the best Tex-Mex food in the area, and is absolutely worth visiting though. I would suggest also getting their cheap (albeit very, very large) beer from the tap, which practically alone makes the visit worth it (with responsibility, of course.)

Good food. Fast service and great prices. Haven't been disappointed either time I have been here.

Love the old guys playing country music while I eat my Mexican food. Way better than eating Mexican food WITHOUT listening to country music.Such Mexican. Much food. Wow.

Nothing special. Salsa was bland. Chips were overdone. Food was okay. Won't return. The place was pretty empty..even at lunch time on a Saturday. That's almost always a good indicator. It was just OK.

Always good, always fast! It's not the classiest newest thing on the block, but the food is great and we enjoy the bands on Friday nights!

Small and quaint family owned restaurant. I have been coming here every 1-2x per month for the past 20 years and it is a staple in this small town. I would rank their Mike's Special up against any other Mexican meal anywhere. Friendly staff and live band every Friday which brings the small town charm.
