Little Jimmy’s Meat Company

I have been wanting to try Little Jimmy's Meat Company for a couple weeks now. They opened last month and they offer a variety of soups and sandwiches daily. As well as different steaks and meats. I decided I wanted to grill up some of their steaks that they were advertising on Facebook page. $12.99 a pound for NY strip steaks. I decided why not lets give this local establishment a shot. I went into the newly renovated building and I immediately liked the atmosphere. It was very clean and well lit. They had reruns of Andy Griffith show on the tv behind the counter. (Which I love that show)I was greeted by a woman that asked What I wanted and I asked for two of those NY strips. The price out the door was $23.24 for the two steaks.I went home seasoned the steaks and fired up the grill. My wife and I ate our steaks and we said they were good. They were not the best but they were really good. I will be back to try more items. Little jimmys meat company is a lunch deli/meat market located in the small town portion of Mount Washington just of north bardstown road. My family and I came here the other day to check this place out and grab some lunch and price out some steaks for a Christmas party coming up. You walk in and they have a counter where you order. They prepare your order and give it to you and you go to a counter by the exit to pay. At the exit counter they also have some dessert options and candy. On this trip we grabbed lunch. I personally ordered a hand and cheese sandwich. It was good but kinda small and overpriced at $6. My wife did there lunch special of soup of the day and half a sandwich. Soup of the day was chili which she said was tasty. She got a club sandwich and said it was really good. Had great flavor. My oldest daughter got a corn beef sandwich and raved about it. The counter desserts got to us. I got me and my second oldest daughter this giant m&m's brownie which was cheaply priced (opposite of ham sandwich) and was really good. You know how the corner pieces or a brownie platter is the best? Well this whole thing tasted like a giant corner piece with m&m's. Legit one of the best brownies I've had before. My oldest got cake pops and she said they were really good. On this trip we didn't purchase any steaks. However, we may come back. There ribeyes pricing lined up with local retail stores so I think we would rather support local small businesses like this one this holiday season and give it a shot. So I think we will come back in a a few days and buy some of the ribeyes which run around $13 a pound. Overall very cool and nice addition to the small town of Mount Washington. Not to many lunch spots in This town. So the fact that it's a meat shop to I think it will do well. They do have a spacious inside and it would be nice to see them setup a few tables so people can eat there sandwiches and chili and soups while there.

Excellent quality meat and lunch selections from a local company. Best option for high quality beef in Mount Washington.

We bought 2 Filet mignon's and 1 ribeye for Christmas dinner. They were awesome!!! Better than the filet I got at Ruth Criss's !! We definitely will be back to purchase steaks again!!

Stopped in to grab lunch. Went with the club sandwich, small chili and a bag of chips. Not bad but I have some comments for owners to consider because I love the fact that we have a deli in MW. Also the lady cashing me out ask for feedback, so here it is. Pros:Chili had great taste and had a lot of meat.Sandwich is huge and did not skimp on meat.Kettle chips were really good (Honey Siracha)Cons:Not great bread choices and was old IMOBacon was thin and burnt (c'mon you're a deli? Thick cut is a must)minor con... A little on the pricey side.Over all good experience. I want this place to be a success, this is the whole reason to do this review.

Awesome, huge sandwiches, friendly people. Highly recommend! Support local business.I've had the little Jimmy's Club and it is so good. Fresh ingredients, plus they have hamburger and steaks, etc that you can buy. They even grill out from time to time. Try it next time you're in Mt Washington. Very satisfied.

I love Little Jimmy's!! Everything they make is good. My favorite is all the soups - such a wide variety and each is as delicious as the one before!! I love the meals they make, like meatloaf and loaded baked potatoes. I love the delicious treats, like the coconut cake balls!! You just can't go wrong at Little Jimmy's!!

We bought a couple ribeyes and they were great...BUT...the Prime Filet Medallions were SO AWESOME! Grilled a package of 6 medallions tonight and they just melted in my mouth!! SO tasty!! No doubt we will be right back to get some more, especially when we have some company!
