Lils Coffee House

No trip to Paris Ky is complete without a stop at Lil's Coffee House. Lil's is the perfect place to simply enjoy a great cup of coffee or have a delicious breakfast or lunch. Daily specials entice visitors to taste the fresh prepared on site meals and desserts made with care. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. The lunch counter is a blast from the past harking back to the old five and dime stores soda counters. Prices are fair and the service is excellent. You will enjoy your shopping and sight seeing time in Paris, but I bet you bring a friend back to go to Lil's!

I love stumbling in a local mom and pop cafe. So authentic, so real, and the food is always good and inexpensive. I had the club sandwich which I thought was wonderful. No fancy name for the bread or the ham just a traditional club sandwich which really hit the spot. Prices are great selection is good and although I was very tempted for the peach pie dessert, I was just too full to do it.

Great place for lunch or breakfast,We brought a bag of Bourbon coffee home.There assortment of sweets are very good.The quiche's are there specialty....You can't wrong with anything here...

Until my first visit to Lils, I had never experienced Tomato Pie.  Now that I have, I regret not have encountered this amazing dish sooner!Over and above the Tomato Pie, I've visited her a couple of times now, and everything I've tried thus far has been excellent.  Service is first tier as well :-)Tip: Lils offers daily lunch specials, and the large building the venue is in makes this place relatively low noise.

I just love downtown old school counters! I'm sad my kids mights never know the fun of sitting at the counter getting a milkshake or sundae made fresh right in front of you. Then there's Li'ls! Beautiful classic counter diner coffee shop! So cool to see them keeping this connection to the past going so, so great in 2020!Although the counter stools were marked for the current social distancing we're doin' but the charm was ALL there. We had brekkie and coffee. The place was hopping and the staff was working hard and fast. The food was fresh and tasty! The coffee was yum!They do lunch late afternoon dining too so we'll be back. We loved it all. Oh and take some time to do some shopping at the attached antique store. The owner was warm and charming too and we couldn't leave without taking some stuff with us! Its called Timeless Design.

I found myself in Paris and thought I'd get a light bite. I went to Trackside to give it a try, but it was closed, so I pulled over to look for a place nearby. Super bad wifi. Don't know what that was about? So I headed for Main Street and wound up at Lil's. It could be termed a luncheonette with a few tables and a counter, and shares space with an antique store. I first walked through the store, but didn't find anything of interest. I sat at the counter and asked about their " famous" tomato pie. I'd been experimenting at home, so wanted to see what Lil's was all about. It came with salad or fruit salad. Seeing them in their containers, I passed. The best part was the lovely antique plate it was served in. The pie was (over) warmed in a microwave and came out a hot mess, the crust broken, the pie melted all over the plate and a tiny applesauce muffin on the side. It was just cheese, mostly cheddar in a pie shell with slices of tomato on top. I'll wager the cheese came preshredded in bags, not grated from blocks. Disappointing. My tomato pies are so superior that I swelled with culinary pride.84

Lara & her staff were fantastic. Beautifully made pastries, muffins, cookies, quiche & PIES! OMG! Love the antique shop too & the small town, home cooked feeling you get. Ordered two Scotch Eggs w/ wheat toast, filling & yum. Glad you can order them separately. Three different Quiche pies all sounding delish & homemade! We ordered the Country Ham Quiche which melted all together in your mouth cheese on top mmm! Plated lovely & garnished w/ sweet freshly sliced oranges & grapes. Side of Sausage Biscuit. Took pix of the beautiful pies, but had no room after a huge wonderful breakfast, but next time! And I can't wait! Afterwards, I walked into the antique store which is my favorite store in Kentucky! Love Betty & her priceless jewelry, antiques & horse stuff.

Simple American fare properly prepared with great pleasant service. The food is plain but good and the desserts are delicious and homemade.

Let me say that Paris is really changing from what I remember. It was probably 3 years since I met family to have a bite and just talk and visit. Last time it was snowing and we sat about 3 hrs and had such a wonderful time. Again, as last time we closed the shop down! Next to us were several tables of women playing card games... I did take a picture of the mens bathroom because the bench was ummmm unusual.I had the ever so delectable chicken salad, one of my aunts had the red pepper soup and it smelled so good... may have to go back and try.We talked so long I don't remember what the other 8 even ordered. It doesn't matter. Whatever the dish it's always a pleasant time. For a treat go back in time when people actually sat around the table and enjoyed each others conversation... yes. There was no TEXTING at the table!Ohh... did I forget to mention the wonderful deserts that had to go home because we sat so long and they closed.What a wonderful place to talk, play games, have a meal, shop.... Did I mention last time I purchased several items to take back to Georgia for Christmas gifts? Yes, if anywhere near Paris it is a MUST VISIT!

A bit pricey for what you get. Food is just average. Cute shop attached to place atmosphere cute
