Lexington Marriott City Center

Recently came to Lexington for work meetings and stayed here. This is a big, nicely decorated and furnished Marriott in the center of downtown Lexington. The staff was friendly, especially the valets. Checking in was handled nicely too. The rooms were a newer design which is done beautifully! The rooms are kept nicely cleaned by the housekeeping staff too. Bed was comfy and the TV worked fine.They have an M Club on the main level, which was decent, but not one of the better ones I've been to. Coffee machine had issues and the coffee urn was empty after breakfast time. The food selection was mostly fried and wimpy (fried and sat out too long), thus not very good.The main restaurant is in the middle of the lobby and it's a completely open (open on 3 sides) kitchen, which was really wild! There's a bar in the lobby and that was nicely staffed as well.Definitely an excellent stay was had here... I'd most definitely return!

Very clean Marriott located in the heart of Lexington. We could walk to everything. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The price was very reasonable given the location and comparably priced. There are plenty of bars and restaurants located within walking distance, including Jeff Ruby's right next door. They offer valet or self parking, and the self parking is located in an underground garage (very convenient). We will absolutely stay here again.

Let me begin by saying I can only speak about the dining area as you enter from the street level.We've had the breakfast twice now and it just doesn't disappoint. The buffet has a variety of things such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancake casserole, potato casserole , fresh fruit, oatmeal, a variety of cold cereal, bagels, bread and some small pastry. You can also order something to be made such as an omelette or Belgian waffles which is what I had . So good! The two breakfast attendants couldn't be any nicer than they are . They came by to check on us one more than once and refilled our coffee (the coffee is really good as well). There's plenty of tables to choose from and you can sit outside on their patio if you wish .I believe the breakfast buffet is 20.00 and includes coffee and juice .

We booked a room in december only to find out that the sales director canceled my reservation and failed to notify me. When we arrived on May 31st we learned our reservation was canceled. No emails no call just found out when it was too late to find a different room. While the workers were sympathetic, the general manager was an arrogant @#%! and not the least bit helpful. If I could give a negative star I would.

This has been one of the absolute, hands-down, best hotel experiences we've had in a while!!!From the valet to the front desk staff to the dining room, staff to the M club everyone was friendly, smiling, and couldn't have been more helpful!We got a corner king room, which was the perfect size for the two of us to stay in for parents weekend. We will definitely be back soon!!!!

Nice and clean hotel but service is poor. Also the M club is lacking especially with compared to others. No bottled water.

Fantastic property. So happy to stay here. Tara in Sales and Adrielle at the front desk were so welcoming and nice. Yes, greeting me as a titanium elite. And a nice upgraded room. Clean, new, very comfortable setting. Found everything more than satisfactory. Will totally stay here every time in Lex! Last summer husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the next door Residence Inn--also nice and new.

Titanium Elite here: we LOVED this property! We stayed on the Marriott side in a spacious room. Brandon helped us with our luggage to the room, and Mr. Bartender (I cannot remember his name ) created some delish concoctions and the bar was well stocked. The lobby was spacious and clean, and the buffet breakfast had several options and was yummy. AND-the shampoo and conditioner were actually quality!! The location is in the middle of the city (center city) so you can walk right out into downtown.

Nice hotel, pleasant staff but really expected more for an outdoor patio. embarrassing torn and very worn diem furniture.

Fire the GM, Rich and sales director! Worst experience! If you made a reservation with Marriott City Center in Lexington double check it! They cancel reservations and never notify you that you have been cancelled! This is standard practice at this hotel.
