Lexington Christian Academy drew me away from the Church. I came to the school in search of a Christian community that would help me grow in my faith, but in fact, it drew me far away from God. I was surrounded by people calling themselves Christians - while at the exact same time, I saw them tear down the very ones made in His image. My entire class and upperclassmen (with the exception of very few), made fun of one girl who struggled with a disability. They made an Instagram "fan page" of her - her profile picture being black snakes coming out of her eyes. I was once told by a staff member that, on another occasion, an entire grade dressed up as one student in order to make fun of her. But, because the staff "could not prove the bullying," they did nothing to stop it. In the classroom, things from the Bible are skewed in their teaching. For example, it's taught that if you're anxious, you're not a true Christian. It's taught that if you pray for doctors and nurses, rather than solely God's miracles, you're not truly believing in the power of God. Teachings like these saturate the classroom. There is extremely little diversity, though their deceptive marketing will put a minority poster child on the front page of their website. I transferred to a public school during my junior year of high school, and I see Jesus working more in one day at the public school than my years at LCA combined. Your child will not experience Jesus or His love at Lexington Christian Academy. What I experienced at LCA was truly traumatic to me. I am still healing as a broken Christian trying to see the love in the body of Christ that LCA ripped me away from. If you are considering sending your child there, and they are at all doubting their faith in whatever way, please prayerfully re-consider. I write this review out of deep disturbance and concern for your child's faith.

The school is professionally run with very competent administrators and strong technology support. The sports programs are excellent and supplement academic learning and personal development. The curriculum is challenging with opportunity for advanced placement and partnering with two colleges for education beyond High School. The curriculum is not the narrow Classical Christian Education. Faith and bible teaching does provide a foundation for lifelong learning.

We enrolled our kids in preschool at Lexington Christian Academy and were so happy we couldn't imagine ever leaving. Despite our initial plans for them to attend public schools, after one year at LCA, we knew this is where we wanted them to graduate. For us, LCA goes way beyond providing a good education for our kids, it is helping instill a strong Christ-centered foundation in their lives. The love that surrounds my kids at LCA is evident at all levels. The teachers and staff get to know all of the students and go above and beyond to provide a happy and safe environment to learn. The greatest testament is probably that my kids love school and truly can't wait to go every morning!

As the parent of a first year student, we could not be happier with LCA. Our daughter has thrived in the environment created by the LCA faculty and staff who show the students the type of love every parent would want. The education is first class and I am confident our daughter will be more than prepared for her next educational steps.

Our daughter started LCA when she was 3. Our family thought LCA would be a sweet foundation and planned to transition our daughter to public school starting with Kindergarten. What we discovered after just a couple of years is that we could not imagine our daughter attending any other school than LCA. We fell in love with the teachers, the environment, and the curriculum. Throughout her preschool and elementary experience, she has experienced a challenging curriculum; world-class technology including iPad labs, Smart Board, and computer labs; and a variety of extra-curricular activities. She's enjoyed small classes and wonderful, talented teachers. 10 years later, we stil feel the same as when we first enrolled at LCA. It's been one of our best decisions as parents to enroll our daughter at this school. While at LCA, our daughter has taken advanced courses, joined the Beta Club, participated in science fairs, band, drama, dance, and cheerleading, and experienced her first mission trip. It's rare to find a school that offers a child so many opportunities to explore their interests and talents. We have been blessed by talented, caring teachers, coaches, and youth leaders. We are so thankful we chose to remain with LCA all of these years. It's truly worth the investment.
