went in for a relative to get a pint of vodka, not knowing prices and making sure I had enough money i was given. I have Parkinson's am very shaky and I was very disrespected due the disability. I misunderstood a pint for a 1/2 pint I went back inside to question it all. The man was again rude, I wasn't good to help, someone else was there doing nothing I wasn't the the only one in the store at that time he was helping some delivery man. I was the only person in the store and I wasn't sure what I was doing and they were rude and I've lived in Lexington for 58 years. I've been coming to the liquor store on all my life and I have never ever had anyone be as rude and disrespectful for anyone with a disability and anyone that doesn't have the knowledge of liquor so you know, pardon me, Leestown liquor from now on I'll just go up to Kroger and have a good day

Staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. She took the time to show and explain the local bourbon selection to us. She then promised to check up on us and then did, providing more general information and recommendations on the bourbons available. Probably the best service I've had at a liquor store.

From the outside, this place looks like your typical sketch liquor store. Lots of garish neon, kinda run down building and parking lot, a million liquor posters in the window. I assumed they only stocked PBR and off brand vodka. Shame on me.But one day, I was throwing a dinner party and realized I didn't have any dry sherry for the French onion soup I was making and threw on my coat to head to Liquor Barn. There was a big wreck or some back up on new circle and I realized my plans for the LB were screwed.Leestown Road Liquor is a stone's throw from my house, so I thought what the heck. Not only did they have the sherry I needed, they actually stock several different kinds, which surprised me for such a tiny little joint. On another occasion, a batch of blackberry ice cream was saved by LRL stocking blackberry brandy. I mean, really? Wow.Amazingly, this little liquor shop has never let me down. They have all the usual suspects, of course, but also a lot of little surprises too. A few New Zealand wines, lots of esoteric vodka flavors, and usually whatever sort of miscellaneous cocktail paraphernalia (limes!) you may need.If you live in this neighborhood, the drive time for your liquor run may be getting a lot shorter.

I checked in yesterday and noticed that this place hasn't had a review in over a year. Well... I had to change that. This is kind of close to downtown, almost in a neighborhood, but yet off of a main road. You can get anything from beer to hard liquor. I'm a wine drinker and that's where they lose a star from me. There isn't a very big selection of wine and the wines that they do have are a bit over priced. Think kind of like grocery shopping at a gas station, the same is true here... it's going to be more pricey and less options than the Liquor Barn. The stars of this show are the people who work here. They are all very nice and pleasant. I bet they experience more crazies here than a hair dresser who hears about people's life stories daily. My husband, the craft beer drinker had actually had them order special, rare beers for him. I don't know if that's the norm or if they do it because he's just that special. You already know that it takes a special kind to be married to me... for 18 years.

Nice friendly local Liquor store. Not a big chain but local, so I like it more. See about the same people each time. Happy to spend my money with them.

Convenient location. Everyone there is always friendly and helpful (especially Renee). Anytime I want to try something different they always have great recommendations, and the prices are usually a few dollars cheaper than other locations.

Honestly don't even want to give this place a poor rating, but the owner, whom I never was aware of, completely ruined it for me tonight. I live in the neighborhood, I have been to this establishment many many times. All if the employees know my Fiancé and I. I didn't bring my I.D tonight, shame on me yes, but for some beer I didn't think it would have been a huge deal. After an awkward greeting the owner asked for my I.D before he even mentioned he owned the place, no greeting or anything else. I told him I forgot it, apologized, explaining that I usually didn't get carded because they knew me, especially the woman who works there who is wonderful. He then decided to flex his status at me, point out that he was the owner, never stated his name, only pointed to a license that was mostly covered. Then he proceeded to question me like he would catch me in a lie, asked me for the woman's name who I don't remember as I am horrible with names. I only knew that she has told me she lived in the area. He leaned over the counter glowering at me and proceeded to tell me I was lying and that he wouldn't sell to me. I'm small, female and a loyal customer and I have never felt so uncomfortable, or intimidated in a store. Neither I or my fiancé will be buying from a store with an owner like that.

Great local liquor store. Don't be fooled by the size of the place. Has a large selection of beer to wine to bourbon with all price points to match. Friendly staff and owner who are always looking to help.
