Superb service, nice atmosphere, and delicious food recommendations from my server! Vegetarians! Non-vegetarians! Try the Kim Chee tofu appetizer and the entree with sweet potato noodles! You're welcome! It was also my first time trying Korean tea and I love it! Smells and tastes so good! So comforting on this cold, winter night. I can hardly wait to try their other vegetarian dishes!

I love how hot the clay pot keeps the soup when they come in. I always get the tofu stew with comes with shrimp. It's very filling due to the quatity and of the sides. My favorite is the soy peanuts.

Service is good. Servers are nice. I ordered Galbi Tang soup and Galbi sizzling platter. I expected way more of the soup because at other Korean restaurants, this soup would have so much flavor. But this soup was very bland. The short rib is good but just way too bland. Galbi sizzling platter was good. Flavor is correct and food came out hot and fresh. Only issue is the portion size. Only 4 ribs for an entreeThe banchan side dishes were as expected.

I've been wanting to try Lee's for a while. It's located under one of the office buildings. Plenty of parking around the building! When I walked in, they were busy! People were waiting for a table. Mostly families here. Thankfully, my friend got there before me and was already seated. We went ahead and ordered barley tea to share and a few entrees: japchae, soondubu jjigae, and bibimbap. We waited an HOUR for the food! I was pretty hungry. Not sure if they were short-staffed but it was a bit frustrating, especially for how busy they were. The food was just okay. It tasted good, but not traditional. It seemed like they toned down the flavors to suit the audience. Not as much sesame oil or even enough of the tang in the kimchi. Our barley tea tasted like it was on its fifth steep. Too watery. We did enjoy the banchan. You could tell they were also toned down but they weren't bad. If you've never had Korean food, you should try this place. But it's just not going to be on par with Kum's or other spots in town.

Lee's Restaurant is probably the best place for Korean food in Louisville. Don't get too excited though, there isn't much good Korean food in Louisville. But to be fair, I am Korean and so my standards are pretty high. I got the spicy soft tofu stew. The food was good, definitely worth going out to eat. There isn't much good Korean food in Louisville, but if you're wanting a proper Korean meal, Lee's is probably the place to go. They also give you a lot of side dishes with the meal which are actually very good. I had 2 orders of their side dishes because it's really quite good. The environment is nice as well. The servers are nice and it's a spacious place where you can go alone or with a group. It's quite dim in the restaurant, but that sets the vibe if you enjoy that.Lee's is a solid option for Korean food that is reliable in a city lacking in good Korean cuisine. There might be better options if you're looking specifically for Korean BBQ or snack foods, but Lee's is the place to go for regular Korean meals. Except for my house!

Location is at the bottom of an office building. Very easy to get to and lots of parking.I will say you probably want to make sure you read and understand the menu before you go or at least have some understanding. They may struggle to understand you and you them. They were very friendly though. We started with the beef egg rolls. The beef was like the cuts of steak and were sweet like they may have been from the bulgogi dish. I thought it gave the egg roll nice flavor. There wasn't a lot of beef in it though. Wish there was more. There were a lot of vegetables inside. I wasn't expecting the celery and could've done without that but still good. I would get them again. We got Rajogi and Jajangmyon. Rajogi was kind of a sweeter soy sauce base. I thought it tasted good, but my son wanted more of sweet and sour but was steered away from the sweet and sour chicken because of the fruit that is cooked into the sauce. The lunch portion was massive. It was so much food as you see in the picture. It also comes with 6 side items in the small bowls. I had the Jajangmyon. Couldn't taste beans really but it seemed to have an eel sauce or soy sauce in it maybe. Really good flavor though. I will definitely come again.

I forgot how much I love this place. It is tucked into the bottom of an office building off of Bishop Lane. And if you didn't know it was here you might not ever find it.!The stone be bimbop is amazing as is any of their kimchi choices such as the kimchi pancake !I would recommend going early as the place can get crowded. The wait staff is very helpful and can help you make a good choice if you cannot choose from the many different options that are available.

My daughters, my granddaughter and myself went to the restaurant on recommendation of a co-worker. We got there as soon as they opened on a Saturday. We requested a booth but we were denied. I let it pass thinking maybe someone made reservations. Even though we were the very first people there we were seated in one table from the restroom. About 15~20 minutes later another family comes in and were seated at a booth. Mind you they also had a child with them. I asked the other waitress if they took reservations and she said no. Another African American couple comes in and they got seated at the back table closest to the restroom. I never write reviews but I left feeling some sort of way, not for myself but for my daughters and grand daughter. The food was mediocre and the blatant difference in the type of service we received was disappointing.
