Great Greens and fairways, well kept, Staff is friendly. PS. Was confused by previous review by "KP" stating staff was rude. Have never seen that behavior. Review did not make sense, checked user and has only given 1 star for all reviews. To the point raised: *) I have NEVER seen 8 people in a group on any course. *) Claimed to be stuck behind a group of 8 (which he stated played the front nine in 2 hours. That would be blazingly fast and nearly impossible for a group of 8. Either fake review, or non-sense.

Nice golf course. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape and I would say the greens were in excellent shape. Roughs could use some work, like other city courses they need to kill the clover, as it is everywhere. Staff was nice and friendly. Very fun course to play, I will certainly go back.

This place was awesome. So far it is my favorite place to play in Kentucky. The staff was awesome and friendly. They were super helpful as well. The course was decent and not too challenging. For the price $27 car and clubs, you really can't beat a quick 9 hole game on a nice afternoon. We will definitely be back here.

Had a couple of hours before work so we went to check out this golf course just to practice at the driving range and enjoy the nice weather we had not long ago. Only $7 for a bucket of balls to hit at the driving range. Pretty view. Next time we will play on the course :D All we had to do was go to the clubhouse and pay or the balls then went out to fill our basket.

Pretty nice course. Not many obstacles other then a few misplaced trees. Moderately priced and nice staff. Rough is certainly ruff! I am from out of the area so I am not used to this style of grass. They had several days of rain before I played so the greens were sloooow and the sand was filled with water/cement.Overall I would definitely play here again. This is a great place to bring family or for the weekend warrior.Definitely recommend using golf GPS for a few blind drives. Several slight doglegs as well.

Awful course, partially by design, but mainly due to staff. I mean they were simply rude and unprofessional. A friend and I (2 people mind you) were playing 18 holes here. We were stuck behind a group of 8 golfers grouped together (general limit is 4 - 2 carts per group; so why they were allowed is beyond me; seems like some type of special treatment there because we are a little darker in skin complexion). We get to the turn and go inside for a quick beverage and snack to get in front of the group of 8 who also went in. We got to the 10th hole and were approached by one of the staff members who began speaking in an interrogative tone like we didn't belong there. He said "hey guys, where ya been? I saw the big group, what you guys been doing?". I'm not sure what he wanted from that but we were playing our game on track (2 hours in at hole 10 EXACTLY) so imagine our surprise when he returned to tell us to speed it up. He didn't even walk over just yelled it at us like we were objects. That man looked at us different due to our skin color and it's DISGUSTING. We were deeply offended by this gentleman's behavior and WILL NEVER RETURN TO LAKESIDE GOLF COURSE. Plenty of better courses in Lexington and Kentucky in general. Again, this is due to one mans behavior towards us, but reflects on the business as you are one unit and should be. All, spend your hard earned money somewhere they will respect you.

Two players shot in the low 80's, so why did it take us over 5 hours to play a round? Simple, they overbooked the course. We had a tee time at 10:48 but didn't tee off till 11:10, it just got worse from there, I won't go back. It was a beautiful day, about 80 degrees. This should have been an awesome outing with a great friend but it was a huge waste of my time, slow play and poor golf etiquette makes for a bad day of golf.

Great course for the price. After 6:00 it's $14 with a cart as much as you can play until dark during the summertime. Greens aren't super fast but they aren't slow by any means. Fairways are consistent. Good mix of yardages on holes--ex. There aren't 4 160 yard par 3's. May make this course my new home.
