LaGwen Drive In Restaraunt

Used to LOVE this place...would drive 40 minutes for their burgers. They changed locations and kinda changed attitudes. Miss the old place and the friendliness.

My husband and I came here to get ME a burger. We were at Wal-Mart, killing time before we had our scheduled tour at Maker's Mark. I Googled, "Burgers near me," and this place popped up. Sprint cell reception is so terrible, we barely found this hidden gem. The burger and fries were so delicious, flavorful and juicy, it was the best meal I had while in Kentucky. My husband took 2 bites and he was sold. We tried to go back to get another burger and fry, but they were closed.

I'm not sure how you can possibly drive past this place without stopping. Its charm seriously BEGS you to pull in and try something! Unlike a traditional diner, this is a drive-up, with maybe 5-6 total parking spaces. Order at one window, pick up at the other. Simple and not fussy! The prices were 'diner' cheap ($1-something for a single hamburger?!) and the menu covered the expected spectrum (chili, fries, shakes, etc). We opted for a single with onion and tomato, a double with cheese, a small Pepsi float (they didn't have Coke! What legit diner doesn't serve COKE??), and a small chocolate milkshake. Everything was delicious (I can't speak for that Pepsi float, but I heard no complaints) and the bill was under $13! A true gem, and the business is only 3 years old, unlike the signage and building make you think! Don't drive by, drive IN!

I have frequented this establishment for years, but this time, it's LaGwen's. WOW! Best. Cheeseburger. Ever! And shakes so thick they come with large-diameter straws. I'm thinking up reasons to go to Lebanon soon just to eat at LaGwen's!

The burgers are yummy!! They have some tasty chili cheese fries! Their banana splits are huge and so delicious! My husband really enjoyed the chocolate malt! Cute little place, definitely worth a try!

The Double Smash Burger was absolutely delicious!! Mmm, grilled onions just made it perfect, hot and fresh!! I love this place, my "go to" anytime I need a lunch place.

I love taking my grandkids to LaGwens for their ice cream sundaes! And personally the cheeseburgers are one of a kind!

Best. Burger. Ever. Seriously. Best burgers I've ever had! They must hand patty those things with love and yummy spices. GET IT WITH THE HOT SLAW. I've been several times and I'm never disappointed. The onion rings are also amaizng. The service is a little short and can come across as slightly rude sometimes, but the food overshadows that!
