Ladobees Steak House

This was my first experience at this restaurant. I had heard good things, and I joined a group of people eating there this Saturday. The atmosphere is nice. It's rustic, western prints and photos adorn the dining area. Some tables have magazine pages and photos on the tabletops under glass or acrylic. The service person was welcoming and told us of available specials. I had breaded cod and a baked potato, two others in our party ordered strip steaks. We had appetizers, fried mushrooms and mozzarella cheese sticks. They were okay, tasty but served in the plastic baskets with paper that you get from food trucks. The salads were also pretty standard. The food followed fairly quickly afterwards. The codfish was not very big. The portions were on the small side. The potato was good and fresh. The steaks were on the over well done side and both people who ordered them said they were good cuts of meat just overcooked. The restaurant did get busy. We got there at six o'clock and left at about seven. Our server never refilled beverages, she asked if we were okay once as she hustled by. The check took a while to arrive after we were finished. Overall it's a nice family style steakhouse. It's out in the country a little bit but it seemed to be very popular. But for $14-$16 dollars a plate you could do better and not have to drive so far out to eat.The restaurant is clean but visibly old. Its decor isn't something you wouldn't find at any other steakhouse. There's no salad bar and the food was pretty average. I probably wouldn't return here.

Had great experience here today. It's a hole in the wall but the service was great and food plentiful. No complaints and look forward to going again when I'm in the area.

Promised myself I wouldn't eat here again, but here I am. Boy I like punishment. Place is half empty, not accepting credit cards tonight and still took 45 minutes to fry up two small pieces of catfish. For the less cost, quicker service and all you can eat catfish, salad and desert, I could have eaten at Blue Licks. Gave 2 stars because wife liked the shrimp though she had better at Tracks in Carlisle.

Takes awhile to get your food and it isn't the greatest quality of food. But the wait staff was very friendly.

Our sandwiches really good. My husband got three french fries on his plate and my son got five french fries on his plate. I would've been ashamed to set those plates on on the table.
