This is the name of an old taqueria that is no longer here. Yelpers have appropriated their listing for this relatively newer restaurante. I've been coming here since they opened inside the super Mercado Guanajuato. They started off a little slow but they have improved greatly. They serve al pastor on a spit. They will put it in a burrito shell with rice, beans, lettuce, onions, crema and queso for $5.99. It is enormous. I'm usually not a fan of "Mexican" rice but this rice rocks. They have tortas and tacos, sopes and plates. Don't come here if you are in a hurry. It will take every bit of 15 minutes or more to get your food. I order and then cruise around the produce section wondering how to cook a cactus pad. Oh yeah, some Spanish is helpful.

This is the the restaurant inside the Mexican supermarket and well worth searching it out! This is authentic Mexican food. I am usually the only gringo in the place but they are super friendly and patient with my Spanglish The al pastor is the best in town. They have thee typical choice of meats served in the typical ways- but it's just BETTER than anything else around. They also have different daily specials. The mole is money.

Great food! The restaurant is inside the supermarket. Tables and booth seating, clean place friendly service. Tacos, and burritos were yummy, portions were large. Will definitely come back.

This place is located in the same parking lot as the Big Lots and Unique Thrift Store on Preston Highway. I think the owners also own the Mexican grocery store next door, but I'm not totally positive. The food here is very good, and I would definitely classify it as authentic cuisine. You probably wont see many gringos going in this place, so if you're the kind of person that doesn't like dealing with a language barrier I wouldn't recommend it. They sort of serve you, but you order at the counter. They prepare the food freshly, and they have all the jarritos, sodas and manzanita drinks for your beverage pleasure. No alcohol, I'm not sure how late they even stay open. It's a hidden treasure of Louisville, so if you're on the way to get some used clothing at Unique it's a good place to visit. I wouldn't say the restaurant has much atmosphere, but it's all about the food. Tacos, burritos, tortas, it's my favorita mexican restaurant here in town. ¡Es lo mejor de la comida Mexicana en Louisville, KY!

This is not your typical chain Mexican Restaurant. This is more authentic Mexican than you'd get at most places. If you're looking for a table service experience with chips and dip while you wait for queso covered enchilada, you'll be disappointed. This is counter service with serval tables for small groups to sit and eat. We had a very large group and it was difficult to find seats for all of us. The ordering experience was OK, the wait was long, but the food was very good (not spectacular, but bit good) except for the rice. I had heard the rice here was spectacular, but the rice I had was very dry and quite bland. The pollo asada was very flavorful and a latge serving. I shared it with my wife and had plenty to eat. However, the way to go is the burritos or the tacos. That seems to be their specialty and they are really good! Go for one of those. The big secret to this place is actually not in the restaurant, it is around the corner inside the market: the bakery! Oh My! Lots of pastries and ice cream. My tip: grab a taco or two, don't fill up in the restaurant then jot around the corner to the deli and feast there!

Not really an eat in place although there are a few tables. A hole in the wall place that serves up awesome authentic mexican food. The bean and beef burrito is the best you'll find anywhere (So Cal and Chicago included). Huge hot and filled with chunks of steak and spicy pintos. Tacos and Tortas are also fantastic. If you find yourself out Preston highway at lunch you need to stop here.
