Simple but delicious. The tacos al pastor can't be beat. Chips are perfectly crisp and fresh. Sauces are powerhouses of flavor. Just know it is cash only.

Authentic and no frills. The food speaks for itself! The tacos simple yet flavorful. The salsa verde is creamy and fresh. Ask for a menu and it contains Spanish/English translations.

This place is AMAZING! It's a total hole in the wall..part restaurant..part grocery store. La Esperanza is about as authentic as you can get when it comes to Mexican food. The menu (written on a dry erase board) is in Spanish and the servers speak very little English. The food is FANTASTIC! I had the very best tostada..best I've ever had. I think this restaurant is one million times better than any of the authentic ones in Lexington. It is so worth the drive! My pinto bean tostada (I am a vegetarian) was so good..it didn't even need sauce. It had so so so much flavor. I can't rave enough about this place. I can't wait to go back and try other things. My friend had a torta and I tried it and it was also fantastic! Please please please visit this restaurant if you are nearby. I only speak a little Spanish but was able to order easily. The staff is very accommodating!

The tacos al pastor are always awesome. Better if they're serving them sidewalk-side when the weather is better. Amazeballs.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. This is your typical hole in the wall type place. Service was excellent, they bring you chips, salsa, guacamole, and pico right off the bat. The street tacos were excellent. It is nothing fancy, but great food fairly priced.
