I never thought that I would be reviewing a rest stop on I 65, especially since they are few and far between plus who reviews rest stops, and this one is only accessible going Southbound on I 65. It also serves as a large rest area for long haul over the road truck drivers. In addition it has a secondary purpose of being a welcome center to the commonwealth of Kentucky. This rest area is always kept very clean and neat especially the bathrooms. It is truly a jewel of a rest area. The lobby is well set up with displays that advertise the various interesting things to see and do in the area. There is a large green area for people to walk and exercise their pets. There is a modern up to date water fountain with an attached water bottle filler in the lobby. There are vending machines outside for those who need a drink or snack. There is an area set up specifically for tourists to take photographs to memorialize their visit or passing through the state. See photo attached to this review. This is the rest area that all other rest areas should be modeled on.

I have to give it five stars for being clean and open, as well as having clean bathrooms with doors that actually don't have see-through gaps! Also a few fun Kentucky displays on bourbon and lots of available brochures.Picnic areas and a separate vending machine area. The coke machines were sold out and I'm pretty sure one of them charged me twice for no product, so I'll have to work that out when the charges come through on my card. But nice spot for a stop anyway.

Really nice rest area with a big open space for picnic tables and just taking a jog around for a good exercise, the restrooms were pretty clean, truck parking is very limited.

This is the first rest area south of Louisville, KY off I-65 at about mile marker 114. Very large rest area with lots of shady lawn area to enjoy picnic or get some rest from long distance driving. No access from I-65N to this rest stop, and I didn't see any rest area off northbound I-65 when we drove through heading north previously. The Welcome Center is very nice with courteous helpers ready to give you lots of tourist information and answer any questions you might have. Also, brouchure rack is fairly large providing lots of information about Kentucky tourism. Bathrooms are OK. It's clean, serviced and maintained well as far as rest area bathrooms are concerned. There's a separate building for vending machines with drinks and snacks offering credit/debit card purchases.

Cleanest rest area when I am traveling to Louisville and have to make a quick stop. For those single people traveling it is well lit, on a busy highway and clean bathrooms. I have stopped there to make phones calls/ texts, to actually using the restroom or stopping for my dogs at different hours and never had an issue or every felt concern with my safety.

A good rest area. I stop in here from time to time while traveling through. It's new and clean. They have picnic tables and vending like most. Inside, there's a nice welcome center. Located on I-65 heading south after the Shepherdsville exits. Convenient and better than stopping at a gas station for sure.

The 1st rest area south of Louisville, it has a large, roomy footprint alongside I-65. Very spacious grounds with many picnic tables throughout. They also maintain large separate parking areas for passenger vehicles and big-rigs.Inside the main building there is a huge welcoming center filled with brochures for everything Kentucky. Men's rooms to one side, women's to the other. An out building houses snacks and cool beverages.Sodas - $1.50
