If you're looking for a place where the energy is always buzzing, this city park is hands down the best spot to be! With everything from volleyball and basketball courts to people enjoying an intense game of Spikeball, there's never a dull moment here. But what truly sets this park apart are the 12 pickleball courts that have become my second home.I've been playing pickleball here 1-2 times a week for the past few months, and it's been an absolute blast every single time. The community is incredibly friendly--whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, everyone's got a smile on their face and a welcoming attitude. What really stands out is how well everyone respects the rules. There's this great system where if the courts are packed (which they often are, because let's face it, this place is awesome!), you just put your paddle in the holder to queue up for the next game. A smooth rotation that keeps the fun going for everyone.Even when the courts are full and the park is bustling, the vibe is always upbeat and positive. It's the kind of place where you can show up knowing you're in for a good time, whether you're there to get some exercise, improve your game, or just soak in the lively atmosphere. I can't recommend this park enough--come for the pickleball, stay for everything else, and leave with a huge smile on your face!

Kirklevington is one of my favorite parks in Lexington. The park has workout equipment around the walking trail. Which is great. The park is also a dog park and I love seeing to adorable dogs and the owners are good about cleaning up after their pets. I like the sand volleyball court as well. Overall, great walking trail.

This is one of the best public parks in Lexington. It is lively and filled with people during Summer and Fall. They have ample parking spots and street parking as well. They have 2 baseball fields where there are always school games going on.It is also a great place to walk your dog. They have one basket ball court which is not quite fancy but does the job. They have 4 Tennis courts and they are really amazing if you are an avid Tennis player. There is also a big grass field where you can play soccer. Also there are some gym equipments out in the open which you can use.Next is my favorite, there are 4 volleyball courts (2 sand and 2 hard) and I have spent countless evenings here. There is MondayNIghtVolleyball which happens here on Sand courts every Mondays and it's really popular. A great place to meet new people and make new friends.

I like going to this park shelter. I used to walk the pathway a lot. The grounds are kept up well and there is a lot of sports league activity. There's parking on the side and around the parameter.

Favorite park in Lex which also happens to be in my back yard. There's a walking path that's almost a mile, both sand and hard volleyball courts, pickle ball, basketball, two softball fields, a playground, etc. in addition, in the back you'll find one of the flattest, nicest general use fields in the back...people use it for soccer, lacrosse, and on Thursday evenings, I host an open Ultimate Frisbee game for anyone interested (6:00). Tips: park also has restrooms, exercise stations, and water fountains.

Nice park close to my daughters home in Lexington took Jake to the playground for a spin or two. It was quiet reasonably clean Jake is almost 2 and most of the playground stuff was geared for older kids. Not many people there and it was a beautiful day. Looked like a great place to walk lots of trees and open area.

Compared to Veterans Park, this park isn't much. There is zero chance of getting lost here. The facilities are nice enough for a public park, but they're quite dated. I will say that the"fitness trail" that accompanies the mile walking trail is quite weathered. Exercise at your own risk. That having been said, it's a great place to walk the dog. I come here often, and I will keep coming back.

Nice enough park. Very close to home, nice amenities, sand volley ball that I'm positive not every cat in the neighborhood uses as a "drop zone" ;)I walk the pup here quite frequently. Unfortunately, I have lately had stop walking her there after dark. No hard evidence, but I've seen a few too many shady characters in the dusky hours.

This neighborhood park tucked between Spangler Dr and Laredo Dr has a surprising amount of amenities. Two parking lots are available, off Redding and Spangler. There is a softball field and a baseball field. Also sand volleyball and tennis are available here. There is a large field for soccer as well. I have seen many walkers, runners and dog walkers. It is very family-friendly
