I feel a bad for this place, it is absolutely eclipsed by the BBQ place next door, and the parking lot in front doesnt help if there are giant pickup trucks hiding it as well. Anyway we finally found it and had the place almost to ourselves. Its small with a few tables and a smaller room off to the side which looks like it would be good for a small party. Service was... a little over the top for such a casual place, our server came by to "check on us" no less than EIGHT times. She was very nice but come on!Anyway we ordered the buffalo chicken ravioli (OK, the dough was very dry and cakey but the filling was very nice). The chili, which is the star of the show, I have never had good chili at any restaurant before and this was such a delight. And the spicy grilled chicken sandwich with german potato salad. The potato salad was supposed to be a side but it came in one of those little sauce ramekins? So it was like 2 tablespoons worth? Anyway I didn't care for it, it was too sweet so I didn't mind wasting what little there was. The sandwich was good, but very messy, it was a challenge trying to keep it from falling apart. Definitely come here for the chili, maybe get take out if you dont want to chat it up with your server.

We tried Kayrouz for the first time today. We made the mistake of going during the lunch time. This was a bad time as we had to park way down the street as there is limited parking. If you want to eat here go before 12 or 1:30 or after. There are only two servers so it takes a while to get an order in. They have a Fish special only on Friday so my wife ordered that. I ordered the Papa Joe Sandwich. Once we ordered our food came out quickly and was fresh, hot and delicious. My sandwich was thick with pastrami and corned beef that they smoke in the back. The smoked flavor was amazing. It came with a cup of sliced garlic dill pickles and I ordered German Potato Salad for my accompanying side. It was just ok. My wife's fish was an enormous piece of lightly breaded Scrod surrounded by French fries. She had to get a to go box so she can finish later.

Nice deli but the price vs food could have been a bit better. There was only one waitress but luckily it was pretty calm when we went in. Waitress was great and made sure we were taken care of. Food was good albeit a bit pricey for a deli.Overall, I'm glad I gave it a try.

Good food, poor value. I visited on a Friday during Lent and had the Tuna Fish Sandwich on Wheat. It was an average portion of tasty tuna with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles on thick slices of fresh wheat bread. It was a good sandwich.I chose Cole slaw as my side item, and I was really impressed with the flavor it had. It was really good coleslaw and I'd recommend it. The staff were very nice and the restaurant was very clean. I really liked the way that each table was already set with a place setting of napkins and silverware at each seat. The restaurant also has a full bar. My 3-star rating is based on price. My sandwich, slaw, and a Diet Coke cost $17.76. While the food is good, it is definitely not a good value. This meal should have cost no more than $15. Their menu looks good, and I'd like to return to try some of their other sandwiches, like the Papa Joe or the Blue Cow.

Wow! Delicious homemade chicken noodle soup and the best pastrami I think I've ever had! Cute little place, fun atmosphere and outstanding food! What more could you want!

The best burger in Louisville! I stopped by to eat the Monday burger special. Had a cheese burger and fries, medium, with cheddar. Fabulous! Food quality was great, service was very friendly and owner, Chris, personally welcomed me.

Nichole is one of the sweetest, kindest servers ever! We wanted to share a sandwich and sides, so she asked the kitchen to evenly split everything on different plates for us. The Papa Joe sandwich was so tasty, and it's the best German potato salad I've had in a long time. Both the pickles and coleslaw had a great bite to cut though the rich sandwich. It's a hidden gem in Louisville. No frills, just great food served by great people!

My Mom and I had lunch here after a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed. We each had a bowl of the soup of the day - which happened to be cream of mushroom soup (one of my favorites) - it was delicious! We split the Ruben sandwich and it was very tasty as well. Our service was friendly and attentive - it's so refreshing to have great service to go along with great food.

Stopped at Kayrouz on my drive from Nashville back home to Chicago. Pastrami sandwich was reasonably proportioned for the price. A little fatty, which I prefer, was flavorful and delivered on toasted rye. Easy, simple and satisfying. Kayrouz didn't feel too Jewish as there was no Matzahball soup or Cel-Ray. The store was clean but with little character. Service was attentive. Wanted to try Steven's, but its closed on Mondays. Will do so on my next trip to Nashville.

I ordered the Ruben. At $16 I had high expectations. I know in NYC when I spend that on a Ruben I get 1 1/2 inches of corned beef try here I got 1/2 of an inch. Don't get me wrong the flavor was great just not $16 great. And the coleslaw was so different I had only two bites. I always give something two tries and this was all I could do. If I could define it correctly it was probably too "pickled". I may give it another run but too pricey for the product.
