was headed up north to attend to the least fun bits of adulting when the transmission started in to making some unhappy sounds which effectively ended the trip. nothing to do but turn south and head for home but the GPS can't make up its mind on how I'm getting there so I wound up here; frustrated and upset and grumpy and presently stopped in front of the diviest little waterside dive bar I'd been in front of in a very long time... my, what a fortuitous turn of events.very smokey - the smoke from a thousand years of tall tales of adventure; very friendly - folks introducing themselves and asking about the day; and dare I say very soothing - the song-o-matic plays satchmo, patsy, and other obscure artistes... 50¢ pool, $2.00 domestic bottles, and the barkeep confirmed my fitness for duty before wishing me well getting the gold car home.a fella could do a lot worse for being so obviously 'not from around here' ;-) pretty sure this is best dive bar ever...

Fun bar. Good drinks and great prices. Juke box has tons of options. Food was good too. We go there if the weekend weather washes out our camping plans.

This place is great! Karen is the best! She has cold beer and good conversation. The wings and cheesesticks ROCK!! The weekends can get busy, but most nights are pretty low key. It's a great place to catch the game on the big screen, shoot some pool, or just kick back and relax to some tunes on the jukebox. A must visit if you're driving the scenic byway!!

I just recently went here to grab a drink with a buddy after work. It's a small mom and pop bar with a couple pool tables. They have food and a full bar. They do not have draft beer but they have a good selection of cans and bottles. Everything is priced reasonably. There may be some undesirables here late night (so I've heard) or on the weekend but during the week in the evenings there is hardly anyone here. It's a nice place to relax after work and tip a few back.
