My wife and I were in the mood to go to an Asian Buffet today. We didn't realize Jade Palace had a daily lunch buffet. It had been years since we dined there and we had forgotten how good it was.It is smaller than some other Chinese buffets we have gone to, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in freshness and taste. The selection was more than ample for what we were looking for, with the meats being tender and juicy, the vegetables not being over-cooked, and the rice was fluffy -- not mushy. The desserts were the standard Asian fare but still slightly fresher than other buffets we have been to.The cost was very reasonable. The two of us dined for less than $29.00 including tax and tip. "JasonNi" gave us excellent service keeping our drinks topped off and tending to all our needs. The restaurant was clean and neat while easily accommodating a healthy lunch crowd.Looks like this will be our new go-to place for Asian buffet.

There's a sign posted up front asking for your patience, as they're understaffed. They serve lunch AND dinner buffet! I came for take out, and did have to wait maybe 10 minutes extra. Everything came out fresh and hot. There were four dim sum dishes and a beef rice noodle. Unsure if their dimsum is frozen or fresh, but the ham sui guk definitely tasted like they were made in house.Very friendly as well. For 5 dishes, the total was only 50$!

They do serve buffet on weekends but it wasn't available when we came. We were there for dim sum anyway.Mostly groups of families and friends here. Not super busy for a Sunday afternoon.For dim sum, we got egg tarts, har gow, soup dumplings, cuttlefish, scallion pancakes, and sesame balls. Delicious! Each dish came with 4, except the egg tarts. It all tasted very good and was filling. The only issue was the wrapping around the har gow fell apart. Otherwise, I liked everything else.It's not bad for what you can get here in Louisville. Dim sum is fantastic in SF's Chinatown, but this isn't a bad option.We also ordered another dish from the chefs special menu. Fried fish fillets. It came with a savory yet slightly sweet fish sauce / soy sauce type of sauce. It paired well with the fish.My sister got black tea while my mom got hot water they gave them both their own kettle! I got sweet tea. Refreshing for a hot day!I would come back and try more of their dim sum! The staff is nice and they seem to get a lot of regulars.
