Ike’s Artisan Pizza

The food was amazing so was the service. Don't come to middlesboro often cause we live in Tennessee, but definitely worth the trip! We will be going again! I also personally loved the decor.

We were in Middlesboro for one night and I had sourced this restaurant before our visit based on reviews. There's not a whole lot of choice in Middlesboro, but Ike's was perfect for what we needed and was only a 6 min drive from our hotel. Ok but not great. I like to support the small places and especially once's helping revitalize downtown. I ordered a pizza and asked for the pretzels and cheese appetizer to eat while I waited for it. Well, the pizza came out a do the waitress said that the pretzels always take longer than pizza. She said she probably should have held the pizza order. (Or maybe she could have told me, especially since I asked for the pretzels to eat while waiting). Pretzels were very good. Pizza was ok. Very salty and not a lot in the way of toppings. I only ordered pineapple and ham. Neither of the toppings were spread out evenly. I'd probably go back just to support the downtown, not because it was good. Place was clean and the staff was friendly.

Our server Kim was the best part of our experience here. She was friendly and stopped by at just the right times.For lunch, we ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the hawaiian pizza. The meatballs seemed to be overworked, dense and kind of dry; the main problem was the lack of seasoning between the meatballs and the tomato sauce (really could have used some garlic, oregano, basil, etc.). We did enjoy the flavorful pizza but the crust was super thin and flimsy, which made it difficult to get a slice from the pizza pan to your plate with only a fork--you don't get a spatula, besides the fact we prefer a crispier crust.

We have been here twice now and are more impressed each visit ! The decor is classy and comfortable. Not too loud and plenty of television if you're into watching sports- if not they have trivia as well. Honestly you could spend a good time enjoying looking at their beautiful bar. We tried the calamari and the mozz appetizers and they were perfect. The pizzas were amazing and the pasta is homemade and tasted delicious. Dessert was also just as good - we have no complaints. We had such a great server as well -Kelsey and she was wonderful. We will be back - thanks for the great experience.

Tristan was super helpful I let her pick my pizza the pizza was amazing, the staff was sweet, and as an outsider in Middlesboro the customers were very friendly highly recommend 10/10

The food was very good. The pizza was hot and fresh. Our server was awesome, I didn't catch his name, but he was a young guy with a mustache. He was very attentive and we didn't have to wait for help with anything. The ambiance was great as well. We were immediately seated outside and were the only people there aside from a couple at the bar. There's a outdoor bar area, lights over the tables, and fire pits at every table. The outdoor area was in a alley type of area surrounded by brick and was really neat. The only critique I have was that the beer cheese dip was watery and needed to be thicker. It had a very good flavor though. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will be back.

We love Ike's! I live in DC but visit my mom in Middlesboro frequently. Ike's is always a must-have when I'm here! Great topping combos, their pizza crust is crispy and perfect and the beer selections are always interesting. This local business is doing everything right

I've tried. I swear I've tried. When someone asks what the one food I could eat for the rest of my life, I say PIZZA. I love the atmosphere and the wonderful staff. So... artisan pizza? Compared to what? A penitentiary? This is the worse pizza I have ever had. Stop at the gas station and order a pizza to eat in the car on the way to have a wonderful cold beer here, but don't order the pizza.What was wrong? Well, the toppings were all in the very middle, leaving at least a two inch section around the pizza without any topping at all. The sauce was virtually flavorless and the flavor that was there was just basic tomato sauce. The crust tasted frozen. I say " tasted" because it may not have been. Honestly, the crust had the flavor of a spoon of dry four. When I showed the wonderful bartender the "pizza", she had it remade. Do you want to guess? Yup. The second one came out the same way. At this point we were hungry and the employees were busy. I didn't feel like causing more of an issue. Try it. I highly encourage you to prove me wrong. You'll see what I mean. Has the owner never even made a frozen pizza? It honestly makes me sad.If I could sit here and drink and order Pizza Hut, I would be ecstatic.
