Ichiban

Clean and cozy place with super friendly staff. The meal was pretty good but not the Japanese cuisine we expected. Our soup was clear broth soup, not sure if miso is even offered as the soup came out immediately and was complimentary. Can't complain and it was tasty. Our Agedashi tofu was thickly breaded like fried ice cream rather than a light thin coating. My order of Chirashi came with about 6 thin slices of individual fish varieties which were good and served over sushi rice, but a very meager portion for Chirashi. The salad that accompanied it was larger than normal and actually pretty tasty. We also ordered Ikura nigiri which was the best thing of the whole meal experience. First time I've ordered Chirashi and left hungry. The assorted pickles were nice though. I wouldn't say don't go here - it's nice with friendly staff. I don't recommend the Chirashi however for the price, nor the Agedashi tofu for the texture. Overall okay.

Very good! Had the sushi combo. Very professional and courteous! Typical sushi restaurant.

The food was nice and the staff were very friendly. The prices were also very reasonable. I had the spicy tuna roll and the spicy chicken meal and they were delicious.

I was disappointed. Ordered an egg roll, shumai and pot stickers and all came out deep-fried. Upon review of the menu, it does state that they're fried but traditionally the shumai and pot stickers are STEAMED. Yes, the menu says the pot stickers "can be steamed upon request" so perhaps my fault for not reading "the fine print" but... should I have to? It presents itself as traditional, but wasn't.

My favorite location (we have two in BG) is in the small "mall". I love the staff, they remember us and our favorite things to eat! Amazing foods! Huge selection of sushi's, whether you're a veteran sushi lover or new to trying it! Also if you'd like a low key place to watch the game or a boxing match. They have two TVs! They also have seating at the sushi bar. It is limited seating but it's fun to watch them make delicious sushi

We have two Ichiban's here in our town. Both make excellent sushi. But I prefer the eggs rolls from the Ichiban on the Bypass - so fresh and superb, wonderfully flavored, delicious crunch. I tried an egg roll here, on Cave Mill Road, and every bite was filled with gristle from the chicken. It for sure ruined my appetite. Unfortunately!

Great place! They have you sanitize, grab a paper menu, and pick where you wanna sit. They are very friendly! I has Sashimi A (wonderful)! Hubby had sushi/sashimi combo (yum)!! We even had 2 large and delicious saki and our bill with tip was only $67!! We attempted 2 other sushi places but due to COVID one was closed and one was takeout only! Sucks for them!! Did I say GREAT PLACE? This is now our favorite!!

The sushi was 'good' but the hibachi fried rice was TERRIBLE! The chicken was barely room temperature and was basically chicken nuggets with some sauce in them. It was not a hibachi meal!

The service was not good. The wait staff was not helpful in entree questions or selections. My to-go order of 1 sushi roll took over 30 minutes to complete and there might have been 4 tables seated with people.

The food we ordered was really good. The Eel Roll was our favorite! Our server was very nice and helpful, however, I think there was a mishap in the kitchen and caused our sushi to come out a lot later than we anticipated (an extra 25-30 minutes later). The ambience was calm and relaxing. Overall we enjoyed our food and ourselves! (We ate some of the sushi before we took the photo, that's why it looks a little messy!)
