Hummingbird Ridge Distillery

Absolutely FIVE+ stars! I would give it 10 if I could. This is an absolute must stop if you are anywhere near! I stopped in at 11:00am on a Saturday continuing my weekend ventures to check out distilleries.I found so much more!! This is a classy winery that stumbled into making great rum, brandy and grappa! Yup, grappa too! Talked to the keeper a long time about hummingbirds, wine, grapes, the local region and the owners. They frequently have live music and make a variety of special entries though are known for their homemade wood oven pizzas. I had the best mojito ever and after sampling some wine and grappa I bought a bottle of wine, grappa and two bottles of rum. I could have stayed and talked to the host for hours but had to get home.An ABSOLUTE MUST VISIT! It's 3 hours away from home, but I'll make the trip back!

This was a great place to visit. I hate that they are closed but the owners are retired. this page needs to be changed to permanently closed, not sure why Yelp hasn't done so. I still have several bottles of their rum and brandy that I will savor until the last drop.
