Howie's Diner

Howie's Diner is not too bad for a truck stop diner. It looks like they're putting some money back into this location with the new pumps, which is a positive sign. The breakfast meal I had was good, and the pricing isn't too hard on the wallet. Overall, I was pleased with my breakfast and would consider stopping by again.

Service very friendly and quick. Food was great and plentiful. Pancake lopped over the edge of the plate, goetta was crispy. Recommend!

Chicken Fried Steak was good, Fox News blaring from tv was distasteful . Won't stop again

The food was edible, but that's about the end of the pros for Howie's. The place was dirty especially considering the bathrooms, those were absolutely disgusting and clearly hadn't been cleaned in forever. However, the worst part of my experience was the manager, Adam. He was insanely rude and I could hardly focus on my food over him screaming at all the employees. Easily the least respectable and most unprofessional boss I had ever seen. Do not go here.

Food is always good. No matter what time it is. It's like Waffle House but better. But the flies are really bad

Had heard a lot about this 24 hour place and finally got to pay them a visit. I had a biscuit and gravy, an Empress 4 way and a cheese coney. The food was basically OK--nothing to write home about. Hadn't had Empress chili in about 20 years, so I wanted to see if it was the same as I remembered it. Well, maybe so. Coney was so soggy I could hardly eat it..Service was friendly but very slow, even though the place was about half empty. But I wasn't really in a hurry. Dollar-for-dollar, you get a pretty good deal here, and you can get anything on the menu any time they're open which is 24 hours, so great for a real late nite snack. I might give them another try for something different.

Good local diner. Very, very casual diner. What I mean by that is that you sit down and they get your drink orders. Then, about 15 to 20 minutes later. They ask you what you want to eat. Then, 25 minutes later, you get your food ready periodI understand that they're short-staffed. However, waiting for at least an hour and twenty minutes to order and get food is ridiculous. And that's not on a busy day. . Food is okay Not discouraging you from going to this place, but you are more than welcome to come to this Establishment, however, you are going to be waiting a while just giving you a heads up

Service was horrible, waited an hour an a half for cold biscuits and gravy and burnt hash browns and pancakes and bacon. Literally BLACK , and it was a kids meal. When I asked politely if they could discount and take the kids meal off, the waitress amber I think?? Don't quote me but she had blonde hair came out rudely raising her voice over this matter! I work overnights on the weekends, so when you come in to work at midnight and your "lunch break" is at 5am, choices are kind of slim. But there's only so much White Castle and Waffle House you can eat, so I went with the only other option that was open - Howie's.It has now become my go-to most nights for food. Everything I've had from there has been so delicious! The Deep Fried Oreos are probably the closest I'll ever come to experiencing the Fried Food Fiesta known as the Texas State Fair.Anyway, I digress. Believe it or not, there is online ordering available through DoorDash. I always take my food to-go, so being able to order it and it usually be ready when I get there is super convenient. Although I've never dined in, the staff has always been super friendly when I come to pick up my food. And I also have to give a shout out to the Sinclair crew at the attached gas station. Super awesome people and enough energy drink options to keep me awake all night!TLDR - Awesome food, great people, no reason to miss out on Howie's!
