Ugh. We wanted to stop around the Cave City area for some tourism without breaking the bank and ended up... well, here. Everything about this place seemed like the owners were being as cheap as possible to squeeze whatever profit they could out of it. When we checked in, the guy INSISTED we pay in cash, even though the booking I made online obviously had me reserve using my credit card. Makes me think he's probably involved with tax evasion. :/ Like, what does it say about your customer service when you force someone to pay cash so you can avoid a debt card fee? Jerkwad.Also possibly homophobic? I reserved a single king for us but again he just decided to give us a room with two beds instead. Like what even?We got one of the rooms upstairs. Be careful if the stairs are wet or damp, they are VERY slippery and you could easily fall and hurt yourself if you aren't careful.The room was really big... pointlessly big, almost like deserted dance hall vibes. Awkwardly it made it more obvious how painfully underfurnished the room was... a tiny sad flatscreen far from the bed, a desk with a folding chair... the mini fridge was set so low that it barely kept things chill let alone cold. The shower was the only okay thing. The A/C unit was functional but spastic once it got to the thermostat setting as it would hum to life only to be on for a minute at most. The bathroom mirror was ludicrously tiny. Of course the towels were small and rough AF.I was willing to give them a try but y'all should avoid this place. Just let it die.

2 stars because the bed comforter/pillow was stained. YUCK. Thankfully only stayed here to sleep a few hours. Mini fridge was wobbly. Crumbs ALLLL over the floor between the beds, under the bed, dirty stuff everywhere. The plus side of this motel was the mini cinnamon roll pastries for breakfast lol they ran out of breakfast stuff pretty quickly. They put more bread/bagels out, but no more butter/jelly/cream cheese. What did they expect us to do, eat the bread products dry? The best part of the motel is location to being nearby gas stations, McDonald's, close to mammoth cave, etc. I wouldn't ever come back though.

This was my last stay on my way home from a book signing in New Orleans. I'd found this gem on Expedia and it had great reviews. I booked it and wasn't sorry!The price was only $44! The hotel is about 9 minutes off the highway, which I didn't find to be a problem. I arrived after a long day of driving at around 7PM. the owner checked me in and was so friendly and helpful. He even offered to help me carry in my luggage. I asked for a lower level room, those who know me know why and he was happy to accommodate my request.The inside of the room was so spacious. The walls are paneled in wood...real wood. So beautiful.The tv was good...I have to have it to sleep. I did wish it weren't tilted forward quite so much. There were a fridge and microwave. Full small pot coffee-maker. In-room coffee is another must for me.The bathroom was tiled in old-fashioned mint-green and white, which I found charming. There was also a nightstand, large dresser and desk. Bed was soft and comfy. What a great room for the price. Even though the property is older, it is perfectly kept and spotless. Not a speck of dirt anywhere! And I appreciated the power outlet in the lamp by the bed, also a must for me since my laptop doesn't hold a charge.I was impressed by the owner, large space and cleanliness along with the comfort. Highly recommend! There is a touch of traffic noise from the highway, but I find this helps me sleep...I hate quiet though it may be disturbing for others (but is well muffled inside the room).Just to note, the only pizza place that delivered and it was phenomenal!

If I could give it less than one star I would. The rooms were nasty (see real world pictures attached, they look nothing like any marketing website for this accommodation). We reserved two non smoking rooms two weeks in advance. One room was definitely smoking and when we asked for another room were told there were none. On check-out we were told things were "taken care of". We did not sign a credit card receipt. Later that day we were notified that our reservations had been cancelled by the motel, later we were informed we had no showed. I contacted the booking company to straighten things out and was told not to worry because there would be no charge by the booking company nor the motel because the motel said they would waive the fees. I explained to the booking company that we had been there but the rooms were horrible. I was told again that fees were waived and neither the booking company nor the motel would charge us for the night in the future. Now the motel is directly charging me for two rooms for the night we stayed there.

Customer service is always great. Room is always clean; however, it's a bit outdated. If you're cool with that and really just want clean, this place will work for you. We've stayed four or five times now....They offer smoking rooms. They allow pets, $5 fee. They have a swing set and picnic area, too. No ice machine, but if you ask they will offer you a small bag. Nice folks.

Nastiest hotel I have ever seen. We requested a non-smoking room however the room we got smelled so badly of tobacco we could hardly breathe. Heat didn't work. No knob on the faucet for cold water. Owner could care less, but he has a great big smile. Passive aggressive. Most horrible motel experience of my life. I did not take a shower because it was so filthy.

WONDERFUL place to stay! The staff is very kind and friendly. :) The rooms are very clean comfortable. It is a very good motel setting and a very affordable price! WIFI is fast and free. TV was great and the beds are comfortable. The outside appearance gives a charming and welcoming feeling. I liked the benches outside of each room. There are plenty of places to eat and shop locally within a few minutes. We only stayed one night, but this would be a great place to stay for a week and enjoy all of the activities at the nearby Mammoth Cave. The manager was actually from our own small hometown in central Illinois! That was a pleasant surprise.

Bait and switch. We booked online and arrived to discover a $15 per kid charge ON TOP of the online rate. Super shady and creepy. Eyes constantly staring at us from the office windows. Felt like we were in prison. The owner also busted in our room (he said he thought it was a different room)... So we got terrible sleep being so "on edge" from being stalked. BUYER BEWARE!!!

We arrived on Friday at 1:30. Told the lady we needed 2 nights. Charged us $15 extra for 1 1/2 hours as check is not until 3pm. We paid. Got a call while we were out on Saturday and the man said we owed them for Saturday night. Said we only paid for 1 night. We left. We argued and told them we paid for 2 nights and the lady tried to say we didn't. Byt we did! Why else would we leave our things in the room to go to the zoo if checkout is at 11am? DUMB! room was very disappointing. No ice bucket (as there is no ice available) no cups to even get a drink of water! Sat on the bed and it moved! Turn over in the bed and it scoots! FURNISHING WERE VERY CHEAP AND SOOOOOO DISAPPOINTING! You could stay in a waaayyy better motel than this for the price. People are extremely dishonest. Most of the rooms have permanent guests living there which makes you feel uneasy and unsafe when you arrive as they're all setting outside their rooms watching every move you make like you don't belong there. WORST ROOM IVE EVER STAYED IN! TERRIBLE! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO CHARGE PEOPLE SO MUCH FOR SUCH AN AWFUL ROOM AND EXPERIENCE! BAAAADDDD BUSINESS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! OH! AND THE REVIEWS ARE MOSTLY WRITTEN BY THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS TO BOOST THEOR RATINGS! DO NOT GO HERE OR YOU WILL NE SORRY YOU DID JUST LIKE WE WERE! SIMPLY DISCUSTING! ​
