This little gem surprised us on a recent trip to visit a "way out of the way" furniture store. They have a cauliflower crust pizza that is simply amazing. Actually beats Dewey's (our favorite restaurant style Gluten-free crust). The wait staff was friendly and everything was clean. My husband and I believe we'll actually drive all the way from Florence to try it again this spring and summer.

We were in the area for a local tourist attraction and got a recommendation to try the pizza at Hometown! We walked in and we're greeted immediately. The waitress showed us to our seats. Ordered our drinks and an appetizer-the Margherita crisp. Placed our pizza order-we decided to do a split pizza. This can be done with all pizzas but you have to have the same crust for both. There are thin crust pizzas, which we ordered and there are thick crust pizzas, which looked equally amazing! Our appetizer came to the tables in about 8 minutes. It was just the right amount of crunchy and light! The crust had olive oil as the base and was topped with spinach, feta, garlic, tomatoes, and basil. It was very fresh. It was about the size of a medium pizza and cut into pizza-sized triangles. Our pizza was delivered about 5 minutes after the appetizer. It was hot and cheesy! I started on the Hometown Special side. It had sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, olives, ham, mushrooms and pork. The thin crust made it crispy and it was really tasty. The other side was Bacon Cheeseburger-also good but not my personal choice for a pizza topping. I actually think I liked the Margherita crisp the best. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. We saw that there is a lunch buffet and some of the other foods sounded yummy too!!

Hometown pizza is a great place to grab a slice in Owenton. Service is quick and friendly and our waitress was very hospitable. When you get your pizza, you get a homemade garlic dipping sauce for your crusts, very delicious. Will be back next time I'm back in Owenton.

Great food, service is average on most days. The lunch buffet is small but worth the money in the long run. BBQ cHicken pizza is my favorite! Family friendly.

Hometown Pizza, just about the only place open in Owenton KY after the football game. Decided to spend some quality time with my daughter Kri and her boyfriend Austin and Kri's friends Brittany and Melody on Friday night. I was craving for some Pizza. So Kri recommended this place. We ordered the large half n half of pepperoni and other side pineapple/ banana peppers. I really like the cheese. Over all, I will be coming back here with my daughter Kri good pizza.

Too pricey. Good but expensive. Theres only 2 pizza places in Owenton if you don't count the gas station. I choose Hometown but it is certainly expensive.

We ordered the medium hometown deluxe special and the 12 barbecue wings for a total of $29.66!!The place is not authentic Italian . The food is all commercial assembled put together type food. The wings are frozen and the barbecue sauce is out a bulk container. The wings were baked no crunch at all. They only give you two choices between hot and barbecue for saucesThe medium pizza lacked sauce was a bit dry all the ingredients were fresh, but the pizza was flavorless. The pizza crust is commercial type they put it in a pan and put it in an oven not a pizza oven. The food was acceptable but nothing homemade authentic about it. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Seems like a bunch of teenagers working the place. There is not much selection in the area so you're limited on choices of places to eat. Given the alternatives this place seems like a gem but far from it.
