Home Run Burgers

I can't speak to the ambiance of this establishment. I ordered online and my husband ran in to pick it up. We ordered from the location on Cardinal Boulevard. This is essentially a fast food burger.I ordered Mama T'S Burger-Roasted red peppers/1000 Island/sauteed onion/bacon/slaw/American cheese. For an additional $5, I added a cup of Cajun fries and a Big Red. My husband and children also ordered burgers.For a person trying to maintain a mostly healthy lifestyle/diet, this combo didn't live up to the cheat meal hype. Maybe the All Star option I chose was just not the most desirable combination of flavors. I ordered it in hopes of finding what made Homerun Burger unique. It was unremarkable. The Cajun on the fries was understated. They weren't crispy. I didn't notice much 1000 island or slaw. The burger was sweeter than I anticipated. The service was friendly, but overall there's local burger joints that are seemingly superior. That being said, I look forward to trying more of the menu and hoping for a better experience next time!

My husband was traveling last week for work. He stopped by this restaurant for dinner while he was there. He had a mushroom Swiss and bacon burger that he said was amazing! He said the only way the meal could have been better is if he had a beer. (That was no fault of the restaurant, however. He was on his way to work and so he had to skip the beer this time. LOL).However, he said the staff was awesome and the restaurant was great. He will definitely be back if he travels to that area again for work. If you're looking for a fantastic burger and great environment, you cannot go wrong stopping in here!

Found myself working late one day and making dinner would have taken too much time and effort so I placed an order here.I ordered a black bean burger with fries and a salad for work the next day.When I arrived the place was very chaotic, like I had just walked in after a group of 50 people had been served and just left the place a mess. And the reason was because there was a single guy working the whole place by himself. This has happened before, I came to pick up an order once and everything was behind because there was only one girl working. So the food is handed off and I realize there were no fries so I ask about that, he is very apologetic and makes them right away. The salad was great but it had no dressing on it which was a bummer because had I known I have like 6 dressings at home I could have brought to work with me.The food overall was fine, but extremely sloppily made in that way you would expect from a place that had only the most minimal help and a lot of orders coming in.They used to have a location in St Matthews and that one was always staffed, so idk whats wrong here. I want to give this place business but right now I just hate the vibes it gives off.

It got the job done and hit the spot.I stopped in for a take out order.I was positively famished and had a butt load of things to do and needed something relatively quick and filling to eat.The food was fine and certainly filling.It took longer than I expected after ordering, but it did truly appear like things are prepared to order and are therefore fresh, but a bit slower for what I thought was a fast food kind of place.I got a bacon and blue burger and it was exactly as I expected it to be. I made it a meal and got an order of cajun fries with it. They were spicy, but I kinda wish they had also been a bit more salty....like, I wanted both of those qualities. Next time, I'll probably just get regular fries.The dining room could have used a bit of cleaning, and the staff were aloof and a little abrasive. But I didn't intend to stay there to eat anyway and...whatever, they got my order right. I can't complain too much. I gust just wanted it to be a little better/more interesting that it was.So...like I rated it...s'ok!

I have never been here before but every time I pass the building, I don't really think I've seen it busy in here before. Had I not been craving a burger, I don't believe I would have stepped in. The burger itself was extremely greasy on top and the burger looked smashed as if someone leaned on it. Burgers aren't pretty foods though so I wasn't expecting a master piece. The fries were just ok. When I tried to eat my burger, it just fell apart from the soggy bun to the poorly constructed sandwich components. I enjoyed the flavor though I could only fit in pieces of the deconstructed burger so it wasn't cohesive. I can say that I prefer Five Guys but the staff here at Home Run are so much nicer. It is convenient since it is close to campus but I'd have to be in a mood to visit again.

Heh. Well, this was interesting. I ordered a mushroom Swiss. He asked what kind of cheese I wanted. My buddy's burger came dressed with nothing. There were no fountain drinks. Only cans.Fries were really old.

Dude I fuckin love this burger joint especially this location , 10/10 would recommend double cheese with bacon and side of fries

Good burgers, decent prices. On a Sunday afternoon nobody was there so it was quick service. However there is no a/c it was uncomfortably warm in there. You also need a bathroom pass to use the restroom - and I wanna add that finding the restroom you have to undergo a labyrinthian journey but that's another thing. But, the top reasons you choose a place to eat are prices and quality of the meal - the prices are reasonable and the meal is decent. A/c would've definitely been nice though on a 90 degree day!

I see some reviews saying this place is expensive. True, it's a few bucks more than a combo meal at a fast food joint, but it's also night and day better than fast food, and still cheaper than a full-service restaurant. We went New Years Eve around 530. The man who took our order was very friendly and patient while we took a minute to look the menu over. The food was great. The burger was fresh and cooked perfectly, and the fries were hot and crispy. Fast food burgers arent so easy on my stomach anymore, but no issues after eating here at all. The restarant was also very clean. I saw them cleaning our table before we even got out of the parking lot. I will gladly pay a little extra for this over the other fast food chains around!

We were so excited to find a great burger place with made-to-order burgers AND gluten free buns! Great for our whole family. The service was some of the best I've received at any establishment, let alone a fast food restaurant. The manager was so nice and friendly. We ate in, comfortable and clean fast food spot to eat with plenty of space. Highly recommend! We will be going back!
