Just now leaving the store after I had shopped , got up to the register and realized that I forgot my wallet at home ! . The checker said she would hold my items for me. I went home , got my wallet and returned. I had some cold products in my basket and they had stored it all in the walk in cooler ! That was very considerate of them ! It only took me 10 minutes to go and get back , but they didn't know. I was very close to my house.

Wow, this grocery store has expensive produce. Almost $7 for a thing of strawberries, when strawberries are in season? Ay dios mio!Other people are saying that this is the only grocery store around for at least 20 miles, so maybe that's why they have jacked up the prices. I don't know anything about that. All I know is that it's the closest grocery store to the cabin that we're staying in, and so this is the grocery store we visited to get dinner and beer. They do carry an OK selection of beer, but their dinner offerings are lacking. This is a very basic grocery store, with very basic things. You won't find gourmet or organic groceries here. I looked for some Annie's mac and cheese, and no -- no Annie's. I had to make do with Stouffer's. I know I am sounding really bougie right now, but seriously: you're not going to find your usual stuff here. (Unless, like I said, your usual stuff is Stouffer's. Then in that case: You're in luck!)Anyway, this grocery store also carries a large selection of touristy stuff, like themed t-shirts, sunscreen and outdoor toys and equipment.

Oh goodness...I wish I could say just plain avoid this place but considering it's the only grocery store for over 20 miles you really can't. Although I will just be driving from now on unless it's an emergency. Forget fresh Produce and well cut fresh meats. The beef was brown and near rotting, and every cut of meat was cut the same. Even the New York Strip was cut like a roast. You can't even buy a pack of chicken breasts here - they are individually packaged, low quality, and over priced. Actually almost everything is overpriced, and mostly low quality. Most items are off brand, including the meats. Examples of overpriced goods are $5 for a regular package of Kraft sliced cheese, $5 for a 12 pack of coke, and $3 for a loaf of white bread. They have a decent selection. I took a list for a weeks worth of groceries and the only item I couldn't find in the store was spinach leaves. At checkout, I asked the woman three times how to run my card as credit, she just kept telling me she didn't know and to try again. I was totally embarrassed to hold up the line while I tried my card over and over different ways. Then they pride themselves on having someone take you to your car with your groceries. I really didn't think it was necessary and asked if I could have the cart. They basically told me no and started walking outside... Some people might like this gesture but I would really prefer someone not loading my car - it should be up to the customers discretion.

This is a nice store near Lake Rudolph campsite we stayed at while visiting Holiday World! There's a nice variety of items, fresh produce, and friendly staff! The prices are quite affordable as well!

All these holiday foods raise these prices so high because people will or have to pay them. If the would set there prices at what are recommend and what other stores sale the same items for, they would be busier they they have ever been and make more money in the long road. If you want to save a lot of money go to the dollar general store next door. You will be surprised with all the have.

During the Corona Virus pandemic and stay at home order, I went to Holiday Foods in Santa Claus and experienced the following violations. The manager of the store wasn't wearing a mask. He brushed by me within 6 inches. So much for social distancing. I feel like reporting this business. Also they have only one hour per week for senior citizens which is 7 to 8 on Tuesday. No sign on the door indicating senior citizen hours. The store was packed during that time. They didn't limit the number of customers in the store. There were young people there buying a small amount of items.

There's not a great deal to say about Holiday Foods. They are the only local grocery store and they know it. The prices are all way above average and they are perfectly content with that. The service is okay and never all that friendly. The location needs to be updated, walls cleaned, and the staff needs training on how to be friendly and inviting. I see this as a management/ownership thing and less on the employees. I have run across a few nice and friendly cashiers, but not many. Also, they do not carry briskets or the like. I was surprised at this. Overall, they are the only option we have in this area and, again, they know it. If you happen to be in Jasper, Owensboro, or Evansville...get your groceries elsewhere.

This grocery is the only one within 20 miles of Santa Claus, and a lock on grocery shopping. Tho we're in the middle of the fresh veg season, today there were no homegrown tomatoes, no homegrown zucchini. There were peaches from a local orchard and packed cucumbers labeled "homegrown". Only in the last month has this store carried unsweetened tea in bottles. No fresh herbs. It said fresh cilantro today, but it was on its last legs. A brand of coffee, selling for $6.79 at a Dollar Store last week, was priced at $8.69 today. Prices appear to be jacked up for tourist season, and year-round shoppers are stuck with the increase. Don't stop if you can travel 20 miles to shop.

Anyone who says this grocery store is expensive has never bought groceries in California. We got 3 days worth of meals plus beer and wine for like $40 while we stay at lake Rudolph. Dude helped me out with my groceries and loaded them in my car.
