Like a trip down memory lane! From the moment I walked through the doors I felt transported back in time. Staff were simply amazing, the little burgers were so simple yet tasty. Between the 50-60's vibe, the great food, and the wonderful staff, it's a place to hit!

You have to go to this place if you're in town. They have an assortment of the best milkshakes around and AMAZING hamburgers. We absolutely loved the the service as well. We were a large group on a bachelor party so we're pretty rowdy but they were very nice to us and fun. Our server was Debbie and she was a sweetheart and gave us good recommendations to go about the town.

I don't know where this magic place came from, but their slider sized burgers are amazing! They offer home fries as a tasty side dish and it's a great alternative to fries. There is cute counter style seating in one side of the restaurant and the other side has regular table seating. There are two separate entrances and you can't move between the two sides from inside. The restroom is on the side with dining tables and if you're seated at the counter, you have to go outside and in through the other door. You can't hop the counter. We asked. Service was great. The visible kitchen was clean and fun to watch. Loved everything about this place.

Definitely stop in here if you're in the area. Their hamburgers are basically upscaled White Castle burgers. The milkshakes are very popular and I thoroughly enjoyed mine. The real hidden gem were the funnel cake fries. OMG these were sooooo good. Just like having little slices of perfectly done funnel cake.

Hinkle's burgers are delicious. Whether it's a late night snack or an early lunch they always hit the spot. I consider myself to be an official cheeseburger critic, lol, so I can say Hinkle's burgers are definitely worth the cost.

A fan-favorite since my Hanover College days! The prices haven't changed (much) in the last 20 years, and I'm pleased to see that the flavors are just as great as in my recollection. The Wedding Cake shake is, and always will be, my favorite!

The food is greasy, diner food but a Madison staple! It's a must have when visiting town! Slider burgers before the slider movement. Small takeout or dining area with counter service. Prices are cheap.

Hinkle burgers are a favorite of mine. The home fries are a restaurant specialty. The French fries are made to order. Served hot and crispy. The locals love and always recommend this place.

the food is really good and cheap. I got a small milkshake, double cheeseburger, and fries with cheese for 11 dollars. I love this restaurant. the service on the other hand is not the best. I wanted to add something to my order and it took forever for me to get my waitresses attention. once I got her attention she gave a me some attitude. then she gave us our receipt but it took forever to pick it up. she was nice at first but then towards the end she gave us attitude. and the person that handed us our food, assuming he was the cook, just slammed our food on the table. then when someone else brought our food the lady asked who got the cheeseburger and I didn't hear her and she yelled cheeseburger at me.

Super great waitress and cook! Small little place we had to wait for a seat but it was worth it. Some got breakfast and others go burgers. Best thing was peanut butter milkshake
