Highlands Bar & Grill

HBG is one of my favorite neighborhood bars. I have been here several times and can honestly say I am never disappionted. The bartenders are always friendly, the beer is cold and the food is always hot, fresh and delicious and it's clean, even the bathroom! There is a pool table and a ton of TV's to cheer on your favorite team, they will even change the channel for you, as long as no one else is watching of course. Some favorite items I have had so far are the Mozzarella Sticks, Pepperjack Cheeseballs, their WINGS (omg so good), Chicken Fingers and Juicy Taters. If you are in the area I would highliy recommend stopping in and giving them a try!

Consistently good food, great for games or late night dinner featuring elevated bar food. Honorable Mention: The "Mom' cake" for dessert is some of the best cake I have ever, ever, ever eaten...dense but fluffy chocolate cake infused generously with Grand Marnier... it is really outstanding, and so good it almost drips, and seems like pudding... there is no way to describe this delicacy. I'm trying to keep my girlish figure so it's always a challenge not to order it and I usually give in. Delicious! It's a must try. The burgers here are delicious and I also like the mini corn dogs. The french fries seem to be that double dip frites style... super crunchy outside and delicate snd fluffy inside. One thing I also really like is there never is a problem with the order when we get home and unpack our to- go order. There's nothing worse than missing food or incorrect preparation. My boyfriend and I order frequently from here and we have not had one single issue, that really says a lot to me.I met the owner. I think his name is Cole and he seems really nice and very professional and is doing a great job up there. I really want everyone to stop in... Definitely try the cake!

This place is top notch on all fronts. The service is friendly, prompt and professional. The crowd is welcoming to everyone. They have a new pool table. The place is very clean. Now on to why you come here:1- Draft beer selection is great. I love their IPAs.2. Food is actually a priority here. My husband and sons love their burgers, BLTs, and pepper jack balls. Me - They have the most incredible Blackened chicken sandwich here, you will not find one better! I salivate just thinking about it. All of their sandwiches come with fries, tots, or coleslaw. You can also sub in a house salad and they have house dressings! I have never had a bad bite here! Oh and Monday nights is Burger night, $8 burgers!Other It's a great place to watch all sports. It has nine or ten large screen TVs.It has an outside deck for those wanting to enjoy the outside or a smoke.And the women's bathroom is the best I have seen in a bar. You need to check this place out!

Fantastic sports bar with a great beer+draft selection, great food (don't sleep on the chicken sandwich, or the quesadilla),and all the sports. The staff are fast, friendly, and on top of it. It's a great neighborhood gem, and serves up good food late. Have NFL Ticket, Golden Tee, and a pool table.

IMO the best fries in the city. Awesome burgers and a great beer selection, plus a wall of bourbon. The menu is fairly extensive with many options. The owner works the bar and it is top notch service! The women's bathroom is a 10! Highly recommend!

Met a few friends for the NFL championship games. Great vibe in there. They have one of those set ups where you can play songs in the bar with an app. Service was friendly, food was very good. I had the burger and also the traditional wings. They are un-breaded with crispy skin tossed in sauce. A great wing.

Absolutely love this place. Good bar food, good people, and willingness to change the TVs to more than one game! We got the cheese balls and dare say equal to or better than FABD. Chicken sandwich was great and they've got those good fries. Down to earth staff and friendly. Lastly, bathrooms: clean! Thank you!

Crushed the double smash burger with American cheese and tots. House made dipping sauces may or may not have changed my life and no one saw me drink the rest of that side of ranch...Didn't have time for pics/vids since I don't do those 'drugs' but ate standing up as on the hustle like a grown ass person. Y'all should mos def check em out and bark at all the bartender 'dawgies' as they LOVE that method of correspondence... #xoxo

Let's "wing it," whaddya say?I have taken a deep dive into each of what the HB&G offers in the chicken wing department (short of the super hot one) and here's my takeaway (note: wait until the end for the big reveal):LEMON/PEPPER: If you're a seafood lover, you'll really enjoy this. It's a fresh spin on wings. Light on the sauce, savory on the taste.BBQ: As straightforward as anyone can get using the word "barbecue." If you're craving bbq'ed chicken (or barbecue in general), this doesn't miss a beat in that department.GARLIC/PARMESAN: It's a difficult taste to describe, but it's a savory dream like I've never had before. It's my second fave and will be in my hot rotation every time I set foot in the place.BUFFALO: I went to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo in 1986 to try the genesis of this wing and, IMHO, the Highland Bar & Grill's version is better. It's meaty. It's juicier. It's not shy about the sauce lathering, either. CAROLINA GOLD: Flavorful without being over the top. Perfect for someone who's looking for substance over style and some protein that's going to fit the bill when you just need something to eat.MAFIA/UNDERGROUND: This sauce isn't on the menu, but I was tipped off to its A-F'ING-MAZING potential, so I put on my best manners and asked if I could try it. I simply have never had anything like this. It won't hurt you, but it will bite a bit -- in a good way. I do know what two flavors go into this, but in all due respect, I'm not sayin' because HB&G should have this magic to themselves. My A#1 favorite.
