I can't believe High Horse is closing. I love this cool dive bar/music hall and hate we're losing this cool space!I recently went for my birthday and enjoyed leaving my own words of wisdom behind in the ladies restroom. Hoping for a cool new venue and announcement of where they will be moving!

Our last stop of the night on our quest to get "soused" was High Horse because it was open, and it was there. Total dive bar, but drinks were cheap ($3 for a beer, $7 for wine), and as advertised, there was air conditioning. [Yelp collections: Louisville/Indianapolis 2023; Louisville, KY 2023; Cheap Wine]

Located a little bit off the usual bourbon walk and restaurants in Louisville, we headed to High Horse to finish the evening and attempt to secure the "Soused" badge after already doing some liver damage tonight. This is definitely a Dive Bar and it wears its label proudly. The scarred tables and slightly grubby floor add to the charm. That said, the men's room was clean. This was a fun time and while it wasn't busy on a Monday evening, the service was good and the few other patrons were similarly laid back.We had a round of drinks, did our check in and boom! Soused![Round number review 20200 overall - 233 in Kentucky - 1177 of 2023.]

This is a unique bar tucked into the Butchertown neighborhood in Louisville. The atmosphere is casual while decorated from time gone by. Walking in, you'll feel a sense of nostalgia in the decor, music, and lighting. Be sure to try the Ponyboy Slings and order food from Ernesto (soooo good)! The service was relaxed but worth the wait!

They have A/C! What a fun little spot to take out of town guests! Everyone was super friendly, and the decor speaks for itself. Such a cool little spot and so glad they have redone everything and re-opened. Had a great time with amazing friends and good conversation with other locals and bartender. Will definitely be coming back .

Fun little bar with the friendliest staff. Great chill place to have a drink. They have bingo once a week and it was tons of fun. Highly recommend!!

Five-star dive bar, checking all the boxes. Bartenders are cool, attentive, can hold down a crowd. Sweet little vintage decor including good classic rock blended with proper hip hop. The crowd is happy, all good vibes - assisted by the dope ass Veracruz-style Mexican food served from a window in the back. Coming from Texas, SUPER impressed with the most delightful tamale I've had this side of the Rio Grande!

My "new" favorite afternoon bar stop. Great drink prices. Patrons and staff are very friendly. We sat at the bar and have sat outside. They have Mexican food available. The food looked awesome and heard great reviews. The place is spacious with inside and outside seating. We felt welcomed. It's a great afternoon bar.

Such a cool hole in the wall bar. Been around as different establishments for years and this was our first time in to see live music in the backroom. I had been in the front of the bar a few months ago as a part of a Tuck Tuck tour but didn't venture beyond the front area. There is a whole other area in the back where the live music was being preformed. Music, by Most Wanted, playing all orginal songs was phenomenal. The bar is fully stocked. They even have slushie drinks. Very reasonalble prices and friendly staff. We were early are were able to park on the street right in front of the bar. So street parking but not sure if there is a lot. They also have a kitchen with mostly Mexican offerings, tamales, tacos, quesadillas chips, etc. We tried the chips and cheese sauce and both were good. Not a fancy spot but great to grab a drink, eat some food and visit with old or meet new friends.
