This was in walking distance to our rental (BNB Louisville LLC) and it was such a nice surprise! There was ton of seating inside and some outside as well. They are pet friendly so you we got to meet some cute puppies while waiting on our drinks. The lavender latte was a super nice surprise for my teen. My kids loved the hot chocolate which they offer at "kid temp". I had a cup of house coffee which was wonderful and dark and non-acidic.As far as foods, they offered amazing morning glory muffins which were gluten free (YAY!). They also had giant cinnamon buns and morning buns.

After watching Nosferatu at the Baxter Theatre on a cold January day it seemed appropriate to grab a hot cup of coffee at Heine Brothers. Once I got there the blueberry scone called my name. The scone was warm and flavorful. The coffee hit the spot and service was quick and friendly.

We've frequented Heine Bros for years in the Highlands, when it was a small shop connected to Carmichael's. It now sits as a larger, stand alone shop on the other side of Bardstown Rd and it is nicely done. There's plenty of parking due to the Mid-City Mall being in the same lot. My family enjoyed the comfy circle of chairs this weekend. So many plants and natural lighting! They have a nice counter that's tucked into a corner to prevent the overflow of the line being on top of customer tables. Our drinks were fantastic. My youngest had a nice bottle of Mexican Coke which made him happy. Two nice bathrooms and you'll need to request the codes from the front counter.

When you need a quick afternoon coffee, but still want to support a local chain, Heine Brothers is the place to go. This little shop in Tyler Park even has a drive-thru, which makes caffeine on the go so much easier. We pulled up around 3 p.m. or so, and were the only people in line. The service was fast, the prices were spot on, and the flavors delicious! It seems like frozen coffee is their most popular offering here. In fact, the majority of their drive-thru menu is devoted to "Icebergs," which sound delicious, but didn't quite match the weather. I opted for an Iced "Creme BruLatte," which wasn't too sweet, but still conveyed that delightful burnt sugar taste. My husband ordered the "Toasted Coconut Cold Brew," which tasted like a Girl Scout cookie in coffee form. These were just the afternoon pick-me-up we needed. We'd definitely swing by a Heine Brothers location the next time we're down in Louisville - and we'd be even more thrilled if they decided to expand up to Northern Kentucky!

Driving home from the Derby, we stopped at Costco to get gas and this Heine Brothers was right down the street - not being from the area, I had no idea what to expect. The place was super cute with very updated decor. The service was excellent, answered a few of our questions and guided us to the gluten free bakery. The coffee was delicious - because it was Derby, we stayed in theme and I ordered the Heine Julep and my husband ordered the Dirty Derby Chai! Both were so good!!!We also ordered scones, I ordered the Cheddar Chive and he ordered the chocolate Peanut butter Chocolate Chip GF - both were so satisfying! They also have a cute little patio area that we couldn't use because it was raining, and small retail area to take home some beans! Rated 5/5 - would definitely go again if I were in the area!!

i really like Heine Bros - good fair-trade coffee, has a really good hot & cold beverage selection with tasty treats to go along with. the service is always excellent & friendly - i am forever forgetting how to use the HB app & an associate will always patiently help me. it's a quiet & relaxing atmosphere - great for reading, working & conversations with friends (there are no TVs). this location is always clean & inviting. i do have a couple of concerns on this particular location - mostly a function of the location itself, but still ... the only open entrance is via the patio - not such a big deal if you're coming in from Bardstown Rd sidewalk via foot/mobility device, however, if you park in the small HB lot or MidCity Mall lot you have to walk across the drive through lane & the traffic entrance to the mall to access the patio - no sidewalk! today, i had to scramble out of the path of an incoming car who didn't notice me! maybe open the other entrance? my other disappointment is you have to ask for an access code to use the restrooms - there has to be another way! i am a human being & ought not to feel i must ask permission to pee. HB is a great company & i appreciate them, their associates & their mission. thanks.

The only time I'd been here was when it was a Dunkin Donuts. The place looks great! Modern, wood, neutrals, lots of natural light.Outdoor patio, lots of plants, a Drive thru.I didn't feel like doing drive thru. Coronavirus makes you scared but it's alright with a mask.No line. Just a few folks sitting at tables and another person on the patio. The drive thru seemed slow.It was close to 4pm on a Monday afternoon.I got my usual hibiscus lemongrass iced tea with coconut syrup. Always refreshing!

I used to love this company. But, in the last year they have upped their prices twice. The drink I got went from 6.50 to 8.75. The employees get 16+ an hr. Yet, the staff is rude, slow and treat the customer that their time is not important to them.I get the same drink yet the price varies depending on the store and or the way inwhich it is ordered. If the employees cared more about their customers and understand that their phones and conversations should come on down time I would consider coming back more often. Until then I will get my caffeine fix down the road.

Wanted to post an update following Heine Brothers' efforts to protect its customers and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was very impressed to see the note taped up in the drive-thru that said they are temporarily suspending their reusable cup program. While this is a great program -- you get a discount whenever you bring your cup in -- I can see why this would be halted for the moment. In addition, Heine Brothers has an app that I've used for a few years that allows you to upload a credit card to the app and then hold up a QR code via the app that the clerk scans. This is a great way to not have to pass an object -- your credit card or cash -- between two people.Heine Brothers also has good coffee. The cinnamon scones are my favorite, and the Chaiberg has been my recent drink to order. Thanks, Heine Brothers, for being responsible during these uncertain times. I'm happy to enjoy my coffee now and when this craziness is over.
