About a year ago my wife and I tried this place and had a horrrible experience. We tried again. Our waitress was polite and attentive. We had the smoked wings with Cajun seasoning to start with. The food, the service and atmosphere as top. This place is a great addition to the Town of Harlan. We recemmend that appetizers.

So glad to see a place like this open in Harlan! Excellent service. Cheesecake special was perfect (cherry - yum!). Cocktail menu was pretty extensive considering it is a beer joint. Beer option were limited and disappointing. Will be back to try the food menu - options going by looked tasty.

Food was okay! We had salad, chicken wings, chicken and waffle, burger and pinto beans. The biggest complaint that I have is that they should be ashamed of the sliver and I mean they cut a little chicken tender in half and called it a piece of chicken. It was more like chicken bacon on top! When you order a chicken and waffle it's an actual chicken breast (full chicken breast or chicken tenders - plural) on top of a waffle not chicken bacon that had more breading and that was over cooked to the point you couldn't even eat it! Presentation was pretty but that's not a chicken and waffle.

The staff I interacted with were courteous and kind. I had the pulled pork nachos as an entree and they were awesome. The turtle cheesecake was awesome as well. I will try to get back here next time I'm in the area.

I had the burger and my husband had catfish. I did read that your burgers were made fresh. But the presentation looked like a frozen burger. Was very dry and no flavor. Husband had catfish taste was good but not much for the price .Service: Was fantastic, we had the bartender sorry can't remember his name, but he was running all over the place. Ambiance: beautiful restaurant, great music just an overall great place to hang out with friends Need to make sliders- burgers - chicken. And hand make your burgers where their thick and juicy

About a year ago my wife and I tried this place and had a horrible experience. Tonight we decided to try them again as they were having "Wrestling Trivia". As most of my friends and family know I was a professional wrestler from 2002 to 2013. It is an industry that I literally broke my back and neck for. As someone who has literally studied wrestling his entire life and is disabled because of his devotion to that great business I found it insulting that the hostess knew nothing about the business. A few questions that really bothered me included asking who is the daughter of the "Current Chairmen of WWE Vince McMahon that currently serves at their Chief Branding Officer". The answer of course was Stephanie McMahon. However Vince and Stephanie had both resigned from WWE months ago due to Vince being on trial for sexual assault. Ok, that could just be a slip up. How about the question "Who was the first woman to win a PWI award?" They said the correct answer was Madusa Miceli. While Madusa was the first woman to win Rookie of the Year in 1988, the first woman to win any PWI away was Marie LaVerne, who won Girl of the Year in 1972, 16 years before Madusa. Also in the first "easy" round they asked what year was the first Wrestlemania. The correct answer was of course 1985. The in the third "hard" round they asked "What major event happened on March 31, 1985 and was headlined by Hulk Hogan and Mr. T in a tag team match?" It was of course Wrestlemania 1 once again. It was essentially the same question. Also their were at least 2 questions that made no sense at all, but I won't get into those. Also this was advertised as "wrestling trivia" yet all the questions revolved around WWE. What about WCW, ECW, AWA, TNA, AEW, the NWA or the countless independents? When I tried to bring up concerns about the questions to the hostess I was either ignored or told "you can file a grievance later." Funny though that she had plenty of time to stand around and talk to the team that eventually won. She had no problem walking around and shuffling her papers that had the answers on it right next to their table. Also the hostess said their were to be no cell phones at any table that's playing and when my wife pointed out at least 2 people who had cell phones out we were told that they weren't playing and they were just sitting there. That was a blatant contradiction of their own rule. Also we were told that the points doubled for each round, which would imply 1 point for correct answers in the first round, 2 for the second round, and 4 for the third round. We got 4 questions correct in round 3, but only got 12 points. This was a rigged contest that was an insult to the business I love. And just like when we were there a year before the food was mediocre at best and WAY OVERPRICED. And the fact that the hostess said that "poke sallet ruined part of their grill" causing us to wait for it just sounded like a desperate manager making an excuse for bad service. The only upside was that our waitress was polite and attentive. This will be our last experience at this restaurant and we will be sure to spread the word about our experience.

Had my roommate bring me a to go meal after they had dined with their family. The containers used were of high quality and they included plenty of nice quality napkins and cutlery. I received it less than 10 minutes after they gave them the order. It arrived nice and hot thanks to the quality packaging. I had the "PayLake" catfish basket. The Cole slaw was pretty good but it was a bit on the sweet side with quite a bit of a pepper taste, all in all slaw was pretty good. Was expecting like a fresh cut home fry, but they looked and tasted like generic frozen shoestring fries that were overly salted, but they were hot and cooked perfectly. And now for what should have been the star of the show, the catfish. There was very little breading or batter that you would typically expect with a southern style fried catfish, I also believe they were prepared from frozen and not thawed or fresh. The outside 1/2-3/4" of the fillets were quite stiff and rubbery, but the center was flaky and quite good. Out of the 3 pieces on the dinner, 1 was cooked perfect, ome was burnt like it was forgotten in the fryer, and the last was between those two. The parts that I could eat were quite good considering, I know they can do better, so I'll give them another shot soon. Being it was a to-go order I'm going 3 stars. I will try dining in next and we'll see how it goes.

Small Portions and high prices. Had the worst Reuben sandwich. Been there twice, would not recommend the food. Beer might be ok.
