Happy Meadow is my go-to shop for supplements in Berea. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I also appreciate that they carry some organic and local produce. In the winter they carry beautiful organic pears which are hard to find in grocery stores.

My 17 y/o daughter LOVES this store! She loves the smell (it's one of a kind and can't be described only experienced). The employees here are super helpful and knowledgeable. My Dr recommends that I get extra protein but I can't stand the whey powered protein shake mixes from Walmart. I stopped in here to see if they had something different. I was sooo happy to find not only did they have organic protein powder, they also had the plain flavorless kind, so now I don't have to deal with the 'overly sweetened' ugh gross stuff from Walmart. :) my morning smoothie went from ugh to mmm!!!

In Berea we are fortunate to have Happy Meadow because they serve as an aggregator for localized products such as all natural milk from JD County Milk in Russellville KY. There is an emerging community group dedicated to the localized economy. What this means is that we are cognizant of the importance of everything we buy, make, produce and that preference is given within a small region. There is a developing Pick 3, Spend $50 (3/50) project. What that means is that we ask local consumers to identify three independently owned businesses that we would miss if they disappeared. We are encouraged to stop in, say hello and pick up something that brings a smile. The "50" part of the 3/50 project is to spend $50 per month in the independently owned business. Happy Meadow Natural Foods gets my vote as a small business I would really miss if they disappeared and to help prevent that, I spent my $50 today and saved 10% because it is Monday.

Just found this place and am so glad I did! Lots of wholesome natural choices and the woman there the day I visited was super helpful and I came away with exactly what I was looking for and a little bit more. They have a small, nicely presented fresh vegetable and fruit selection and I got some super yummy beets. I'll be back for sure!

Happy Meadow is great little health food store that offers a wide variety of foods and products. Of course they are a bit more expensive than the chains, but you get what you pay for. I have been shopping here for years and have always been pleased. The employees here are also very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell. I also like the fact that they sell a lot of local products. Great place!
