The bourbon assortment is off the charts as is the service. Into single barrels but a little hesitant to try a new one- free sample tastes of any single barrel they have in store, I've never seen that before Excellent experience and overly knowledgeable staff!

Friday night = cocktails at my house. To my horror, I saw the empty bottle of bitters in my liquor cabinet! I made the drive to Happy Hour Liquor to check it out and give an entrepreneur my business. Ondie was a great help. He asked which drink I was planning to make, and naturally I had my two-page list on hand. Together we searched the web to determine the best pick. We have something in common since we've both recently moved back to Lexington, and we agree that it rocks. Then he gave me a sneak peek of their future bourbon bar. I'm first in line when it opens! You'll find Ondie behind the bar. He made me promise to bring my list so we can concoct some libations. My new friend! Here's a tip: if you're looking for an alternative route to Nicholasville Road, take the Harrodsburg to Keene Road connection. Such a beautiful drive past a couple of horse farms.

Living on Lexington's south side, Happy Hour Liquor is super-convenient for me. And being able to support one of our local Yelp Elites, owner Aaron R., makes shopping there a special treat!Located on the Bypass in Nicholasville, it's an easy in/out which doesn't require you to descend into the traffic light central that is downtown Nicholasville. That factor, plus having a convenient drive-through window, staffed by mask-compliant, friendly folks keeps me coming back.They handle special orders and requests and always make sure to have Le Fin du Monde available for me. It's a delicious high ABV Belgian style triple/tripel ale brewed in Canada which reviewers have described as having notes of coriander, pepper, spices, bananas, and oranges. Get ya some if you haven't tried it!Back to Happy Hour Liquor, they have a massive bourbon selection, select barrels, and a wide selection of craft beers. They have holiday themed displays, which can be useful for those needing celebration ideas. Currently, you'll find Valentine's Day displays around the store.They plan to host events, including local networking events, bourbon clubs, and various type of tastings. And to top it all off, they're currently installing a bourbon bar/patio which will be top-notch from all I've heard! Great selection of Bourbons, Wines, and cocktails. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Good place to enjoy a conversations.

I stopped in there to purchase some wine for an event, what an AMAZING experience! John was so extremely helpful and a wine steward, so he helped me get the best of the best in my price point/budget. I highly encourage you to shop there and they even have a tasting bar. Thanks again Aaron and John for really being so fantastic!

The person at check out decided he needed to comment about my appearance and age for five minutes, telling me how I looked too young despite my ID, I am 30. I have been here several times purchasing with a male counterpart, but the one time I was alone I had to deal with the clerk discussing my appearance which I didn't appreciate in the slightest. When my age and appearance was never even questioned when I wasn't alone. Never have I wanted to leave a place more. I will be shopping elsewhere.

I just popped in here on my way home, but I had a recent back surgery so I couldn't carry much and I needed to order six or seven bottles for an upcoming event. The staff was so nice. They boxed everything up for me and carried it out and loaded up in my car. Store was super clean, and a great selection I highly recommend.
