Grindstone Coffeeology

Seriously interesting build out. Built in front of and attached to an old house in which the bathrooms are located. Seating in a narrow (possibly) old container (?). Lovely rooftop seating . Has drive through without overhang, good for tall vehicles. Few parking options but can be found. The service was neither good or bad. They were quick to notice the errors they initially made with our drinks and equally quick to remedy it. The drinks were very good however I feel it is unnecessary to charge extra for everything (oat milk, syrups) making a reasonably priced latte costly.

I love it here. It's so cozy, and the mood is always set right. I am a HUGE coffee person, and the employees always know what I want. I usually come here to study, and they repeatedly ask if I need anything. I love all of you! Thanks for being such nice, hardworking people. Especially at 8 in the morning LOL.

Initially I was impressed with the quality of the coffee and the service was decent. I have also purchased at least 4 bags of coffee, multiple quiches and pastries from the shop in addition to probably a couple of dozen plus cups of coffee. This happens when I have business in Huntington. When I am there my orders are daily. However as time has gone on there seem to be some serious deficiencies with staff. I have now over the course of a few visits had a total of 5 cups of coffee which were made incorrectly. How difficult is it to squirt cane sugar into a cup? One issue is that two people end up involved in making a latte sweet and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand did. Other times it's just omitted by the single person making the order. Sunday I had guests in town staying at a local cabin. Two of us trekked down 5th Street hill to get three cups of coffee, sweet. Not only were they served with coffee dripping down the sides, but when we got back to the cabin not a single one had sweetener in it. Embarrassing when you had told your friends people this was a good place to get coffee. It's going to be a while before I stop again. When I do the place gets one chance to get it right.

I went with one of their chilled drinks that honestly was like sipping on dessert. No regrets. Living my life while my out of office is setup.

Great coffee, sweet service & awesome vibe. Art added to the already fascinating container ambiance with rooftop outdoor seating available too. Mimi LOVED the warmed pumpkin spice bread and Poppop's fork kept going for the chocolate cake doughnut. If you are driving through West Virginia, pop in!

Thank you so much for the amazing Mocha Miss K---. Also, thank you for your kindness looking up at the monitor when my little guy ran out. Every year I travel to Huntington and spend a few days. Grindstone has been my go-to stop for locally roasted coffee and coffee drinks. The family that owns it is really nice and I usually get to have a quick chat with the Dad if he's working. Two mochas in this weekend and I am happy and caffeinated. Caffeine is my favorite drug, particularly from Grindstone. Last year I had the grilled cheese and tomato basil. This year I had an amazing bread pudding! That was the best warm bread pudding with a few shots of whipped cream on top.

Driving through on our way back to Indiana and decided to get some descent coffee and baked goods. What can I say, the coffee was great, the berry cinnamon roll was fantastic. They had gluten free options for my daughter who is celiac!!Filling out my time sheet, I set my hotspot in the window for better signal and LEFT IT! It was an hour down the road before I realized what I had done. The great folks at Grindstone were kind enough to locate said hotspot and ship it to me! Can't say enough great things about this place. Great service, great coffee and delicious food. GET YOURSELF THERE!!!! I will be back any time I'm in town!

Second time now purchasing a latte that seems to have no coffee in it. Tastes like milk with entirely too much flavored syrup in it. Unfortunate. I went back through to let them know and opted for some espresso over ice to add my own milk/flavor at home instead.

My wife and I stopped and spent $7 on two drinks that were so weak it was unbelievable. We took them right back in and they would not refund our money. they said they don't do refunds. The snotty girl at the register told us basically we were out of luck and that's just the way it was. do not waste your money on this disgusting sewage! they have no clue how to make coffee and how to run a business!

Great latte and Danish but not a place for digital nomads. Very limited indoor seating on not so sturdy bar stools with too loud and annoying background music. Beautiful windows that look out onto an old house in need of repair-A few shrubs planted in front of the peeling paint would do wonders.
