Our first time visit to Green Tree was outstanding. I came to this vet clinic through the reviews I read before moving to Lexington. Making an appointment for our Siberian Husky was easy and the front desk person was very kind. We received a reminder text of Griff's upcoming appointment which was cool. Upon arrival we noticed how clean and welcoming the clinic was....not your typical vet clinic. The lobby is warm, decorated like a home and the front desk person, Michelle, greeted us with a smile. As a new patient, we received $10 off our visit through a yelp offer! So cool they do that. Once in the appointment room (clean and outfitted appropriately with medical equipment), Dr. Yocum came in with a kind smile and jumped right into the physical. His medical assistant and office manger, Diana, was so sweet to my Griff and gave him kisses while he was being examined. They are a one stop shop with food, snacks and toothpaste (which we needed) onsite. We have established care for our fur baby at Green Tree Animal Hospital without hesitation!

Home like atmosphere. Great Vet whom listens to everything you have to say and take it all into consideration when diagnosing your animal. They answer the phones every time and send emails, phone calls, and texts asking for updates about your pet. Little bit of a drive from where I live but that's ok.

Absolutely love bringing Callie Ann in to the clinic. I feel that she is safe and loved by all the staff. Very thankful that we now have a new place to take her for grooming. :)

They are professional and caring. I am so pleased with the way they handled a walk in emergency for our dog! Immediately they took action and made him feel 100% better by the end of the day. They even provided the best antibiotics for him to ensure our peace of mind along with a very generous discount. Wonderful people and service!

Dr. Yocum and Dr.Stucky are amazing. The entire staff at green tree is very knowledgeable and amazing with my cat. She was not feeling good one day and they got us in right away, explained the issue very thoroughly and she was feeling better in no time. This place feels like a family and I will definitely be bringing her back to see them!

Update: they are still trying to collect on the 300$ bill that was THEIR FAULT. I wouldn't have been charged that fee if they hadn't scheduled our appointment when the MD wasn't even going to be there! I've been putting off writing this review for a while now, just because of the convenience of them being right across the street from where I live. I just cannot in good conscience let their shady business practices go unknown. I will not take my animals back to them after what they tried to pull with me today. The Lexington market is so saturated in veterinarians, you have a choice on where you take your animals and this review should be read before you choose Greentree Animal Hospital. Let me first start off by saying all of my dogs have been insured through Nationwide pet insurance since birth. So paying the bill is not an issue for me. This is for the people who aren't insured so you're not taken advantage of.The first time I saw a red flag from this office was when I overheard a conversation in the next exam room about a woman who was there with her dog who had just had puppies. The dog was very sick, near death. The customer dropped the dog off and left to get something and while she wasn't in the room I heard the receptionist say to the other employee "I know where she lives and it's not the best place. She's only got 300$ so we're only doing the bare minimum." No compassion, no concern for the animal. Letting the size of the customers wallet dictate the type of care they give this poor animal. I should've stopped going there after hearing this.A couple days ago my Aussiedoodle started vomiting and having diarrhea. They suggested X-rays. The X-rays showed a mass in the stomach. They weren't sure what the mass was. We had just given her a purina busy bone the night before so after googling that bone we read that the little pieces chewed off the bone can combine together in the stomach forming a mass. They suggested bringing her back the next day to get another X-ray to see the progression of the mass. First day bill 421.59 (remembering past bills, they nickel and dime you down to the cotton swab they use to clean an ear out). Next day appointment was scheduled for 3pm. Well, around 10am they call and say that Dr. Yokum would not be there at 3 but another Dr will be here at 11:30 if we wanted to bring her in at that time. We said ok no problem. Second set of X-rays taken. The Dr wasn't sure about the X-ray results. She said she'd feel more comfortable having Dr Yokum look at them. She said if he wasn't available she'd "have another Dr friend of mine look at them." (Day 2 bill 194.47. FYI they charge you a medical waste disposal fee for every visit. Not sure what kind of waste was left after an X-ray).So this morning I get an invoice through email for 294.72 stating it's for "consult with specialist x2" and "vital/rads STAT fee". At no point did she mention that having someone else look at the X-rays would result in a "specialist consultation fee". So let me get this straight.... Because we had to reschedule our appointment since you booked us at a time our Dr wasn't even going to be there, you have a "specialist"look at both days X-rays (without our consent)? Hadn't you already interpreted yesterdays X-ray? If you were unsure about yesterdays X-ray results why would you send us home with no diet restrictions? She could've had an obstruction and died overnight. We have to pay an extra 300$ because the Dr you put us with wasn't "sure" how to read an X-RAY??? If you cannot interpret an X-ray then maybe don't take the X-ray! If you don't have the capabilities or staff to assess, interpret and treat the patient accordingly then I can't understand why you call this a hospital. You're just a middleman, a fancy (and expensive) answering service.. Had we known all this beforehand we would've gone somewhere else. Had we known that rescheduling that appointment would result in an extra 300$ charge we wouldn't have rescheduled. We would have gone to another vet and gotten our own second opinion. This is not acceptable.

Please do not go to this clinic unless you want your beloved pet to be treated with extreme cruelty & indifference. They injured my little kitty cat & still 2 years later he has not healed & he never will. Take your chances. You'll be sorry. He is always in pain & they knew what they did but covered it up

I have used their grooming services for the last several months and would highly recommend them! My dogs are happy to walk into their office, are so well taken care of while they are there and look fantastic when I pick them up! They make every effort to be so accommodating with drop off and pick up. Great experience and service for me and my furry kids!

Green Tree had wonderful service and a very knowledgeable staff and for a great price. They treated my pets very well and explained their treatments very well. This was definitely a better experience than being upcharged at the big-box vet clinics.
