This place is just straight stinky. The blankets itch. The pillows are hard. It smells as if a skunk pooped, but it's okay because there is a broken hair dryer on the wall! I could fart and it would be better smelling than this puke yellow shack. Please, I beg of you, do not stay here unless you enjoy foul smells and uncomfortable beds. But other than that, this place is just great.

I enjoyed staying at the Golden Manor in and suites. It is quaint with bright colors and two large fountains. It has an outdoor pool and an indoor pool with Jacuzzi. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows or comfortable.

Sometimes, unfortunately, the "book's cover" opinion is legit. And this is one of those times. It really bothers me that their idea of "catering" to a military crowd (per their website) is being "furnished." Really??? Aren't all hotel rooms furnished? All suites? Longstay spaces equipped appropriately? Has anyone ever paid for a hotel room without any furniture? Yeahno.Over the years, I've stayed in a lot of hotels, sometimes for an extended stay. And I gotta say, internet aside, this place can't even compete with the Ambassador Arms, circa 1987, or your average temporary base quarters, cleanliness and comfort-wise. And that opinion considers that the only English-language TV available in on military bases in Germany in 1987 was AFN. The word "decrepit" comes to mind, actually.Yes, it is not as utterly horrifying as the other Ho-Mo options in Muldraugh, but that's like picking between scabies and nits. (NOTE: I am not making the obvious joke about this reference, that would just be mean.)Was here recently for a series of meetings. The bathrooms didn't have paper hand towels (or any other way of drying hands); several outlets in the meeting space didn't work, necessitating completely resetting their meeting room on the fly (in an unbelievably awkward way). Areas alternated between smelling musty and like bleach. Not particularly appealing. If you're new to the area - contrary to logic (unless you're going to stay in Louisville proper, meaning downtown, etc., not Bullitt County / Fairdale / Brooks) - there are far less 'ghetto' hotel options on the Elizabethtown side of Radcliff and in Elizabethtown itself than on the Louisville side.

All in all the stay was nice, good pool for the kids to swim in every night we were there, the rooms are very simple and could honestly use an update, and a fresh coat of paint. The restaurant was good and the motel gave vouchers for breakfast, and even if you ate off the menu it was still pretty cheap. The people working there for the most part are very nice. I did run into a couple who need to get out of customer service.

I loved this little Inn. It has two pools (indoor and outdoor) and a jacuzzi tub. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. They have a small continental breakfast included in the rate. But my favorite part was how friendly the staff was. Melinda was the desk clerk that checked us in and she was just too sweet and also gave us an early check in and late check out for no charge.

This is a long, long, overdue review for the place whose service- no, let's not be vague here- kindness, better said, and decency, prompted me to open a Yelp account just to write them a thank-you. My mom had been travelling a considerable distance when she got into a serious road accident not far from the motel. Her car was totaled. She wasn't badly hurt enough to need to be in a hospital, but wasn't in great shape, either. The staff of this motel took it on themselves to check in on her periodically, give her extra pillows, and were just basically good people- very understanding. And if that weren't enough, they gave her the night in the motel for free. It's in those kinds of situations where that extra little bit of kindness goes a long way. Also, when it turned out that she forgot something at the motel, they were gracious about mailing it to us. The motel itself seems to be pretty much equipped with whatever one might need, no complaints there. But it's for their generosity of spirit that they really stand out.

Please understand this is a Motel and not a Hotel. The doors to your room are outside and anyone off the streets can walk up and knock on them. I didn't realize this when I was making my arrangements. I didn't feel like the safety lock on the door was secure so I quickly put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the outside of my door. I arrived late in the evening and was given a room. I noticed that the television didn't work. When I tried to call the front desk, the phone in the room was totally dead. I had to use my cell phone to call. They didn't send anyone to assist me, but told me to unplug the cable and wait. I did this and the television still didn't work. They had to move me to a different room. The t.v. in the new room worked, but the telephone was dead also. The water was hot in the shower and the beds are comfortable. The rooms were clean and the staff is nice. There is NO complimentary breakfast like the website said. There is a restaurant in the back on the hotel complex that you can go to and buy food. The food and prices were decent. Personally, I won't stay here again because of the safety factor.
