Golden Blossom Buffet

My wife, 2 young grandchildren and I visited on Sunday and found the original post is accurate enough. I noticed only 1 of the Sunday regulars was present and he told me Rita sold the restaurant to a family member and most or all of the staff has changed. The food is not as good and they have some new items that weren't on the buffet. I gathered my usual items , which included a spring roll, egg roll, Crab Rangoon, fried shrimp, chicken on a stick, a little spoon of chicken dish, steak dish and pork dish. I passed on the fried rice. It looked nasty compared to what used to be served. I won't eat the spring roll or egg roll again. They are clearly a downgrade from the previous ones. My wife's favorite thing was the green beans, but they tasted like they were way under cooked. I tried them and agree, but that can be fixed. Some new items included fried fish, frog legs and different little appetizers that didn't look appetizing so we passed. The little grandchildren barely ate anything, but they are 7 and 8 years old. The total came to $55.79 including 2 military discounts. Wife thought that was a little high for what they are serving now. Wife is a hard NO on coming back. I won't say I'd never come back again. I just won't be able to do it with my wife. We sure miss Rita and how everything was when she was there. Life goes on. I'm open to any suggestions on the Best Chinese food locations now that my favorite has changed.

My wife is not a big fan of buffet, but I enjoy them every once in a while. I have seen Golden Blossom Buffet pop up on yelp , multiple times, but I have not been in a position to be across the river to try it.Well, one Saturday I found myself on the right side of the river and remembered Golden Blossom Buiffet. I quickly headed over and was happy to get to try their offerings. I pulled into the parking a little later than I normally eat lunch, about 1:30. I walked in , was greeted by the friendly staff and shown my table. I placed my drink order and started looking over all the various foods they were presenting ... I tried my normal standbys, Hot and sour Sour Soup, General Taus chicken, Pepper Steak, etc... all very good. The Sushi choices were limited, but each of them full of flavor. I happily give them 5 starts because the food was tasty, and even at 2 on a Saturday when there were only a few patrons in the restaurant, they were replenishing or swapping out dishes. Service was great. All in all an excellent buffet for the money .

Sad to say, but I think Golden Blossom is slipping. Previously, I thought GB was one of the better buffets in the area and hopefully, tonight was an aberration. Same fare. But nowhere near the freshness & flavors I remember. Pork, chicken, shrimp all with similar, if not the same sauces. Lots of items swimming in oil. The steam trays failed to keep anything warm, so the dishes were tepid. That includes their hot & sour soup. Good flavor. Just not hot. The buffet has become stale, with no new dishes to provide any surprises. Golden Blossom had changed so much since my last visit I asked if there was an ownership change. I was assured it's the same owners. Maybe they need to pay closer attention. Something was way off tonight.

The food was so delicious. I would give it 5 stars but they charge for 2 year olds. Which I think is crazy, that's the first time we've been charged for her and we go out to eat all the time. And also I was so sad to see they don't have peanut butter chicken :( but everything else was delicious!

Small but mighty, always clean and the staff is really nice! The food is always up to par! One of my little area faves!

Love their crab rangoons & general tso's chicken. Everything else is just average. Price wise, it has definitely went up since I first started going.. Service is eh. Kind of rude and intrusive while making plates at the buffet.

went in just after they opened on Thursday. the food on the hot steam table was cold, refrigerator cold. I notified my waitress. they wouldn't take my meal price off although I ate nothing. won't be going back. cold food equals yesterdays food.

Good food pick this over the other local China buffet. Went to the other one cause they were closed on a Monday, won't do that again lol. They have chopsticks!

Went on Father's Day. The place was clean, they had a wide variety of food options to choose from. The food itself was a mix bag, some of it was really good, some of it was bland, and some of it was no good at all. The server was kind and attentive. Pricing was alright. For a Chinese Buffet, you get exactly what you expect - nothing less.

We did carry out food was great. Service was quick at check out. Great deal for amount of food. We have eaten at this place many times always great people working and great food. Owner is there every day with smile on her face please give them a try you will be glad you did.
