Our group stopped here for a Tuesday lunch during a visit to Bowling Green. Service was fantastic and the restaurant was very comfortable and inviting. Several of us ordered the special of the day -- bacon cheeseburger with choice of side (sweet potato fries for me) -- and were all satisfied and pleased. Would love to visit again in the future when in this neck of the woods.

We arrived just in time without reservations. They seated us quickly and the place began to fill up. Most folks knew to get reservations. The line was out the door when we left.The food was delicious and a good selection of local beers on tap. The Hostess stopped to talk with us and told us more about their locally sourced ingredients. They also had some tempting specials on the board.This was a great dining experience in a casual atmosphere.

What a great place! Food was fantastic! Had great service too.We were seated at the bar and had full service. Nicely restored building with a few outside tables. Located in the center of a quaint downtown. our number one place to eat in town. You gotta try this place!

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. First, we came here on New Year's Eve, the staff was impeccable, kind, and in great spirits. They were closing in about an hour and did not shoo us away. Our waitress, I wish I recalled her name, was hilarious - she got our sarcastic jokes and kept advising how she loved our family dynamic (we are a bunch of kooks). So many options to choose from, they change their menu out a lot because a few items/pictures I saw were no longer there - which is fine. I love it when restaurants are constantly swapping out items! I got the Fig & Brie Burger, and wow, just wooooow. The cheese was gooey and thick, the Mediterranean fig spread and the perfect amount to have that sweet and savory, and the jalapenos added a perfect pinch, not spicy, but just made my mouth dance! I suggest the sweet potato fries too! My husband got the Nashville Hot sandwich, which was a thick piece of chicken, juicy, and the colesaw had a perfect crunch. Drinks: I got a seasonal old fashion I believe with vanilla and then a seasonal gin with bubbles, both outstanding. You know this place has a bunch of chefs because my brother-in-law changed on of the sauces on his burger and our waitress came out and wanted to double check because the "chef advises it would change the flavors/texture, etc." ... that's when you know you're at the right place! lol

Was passing through town & saw great reviews for this quaint little downtown spot. It has a rustic, exposed brick kind of style I love. Staff was friendly especially the bartender who made an amazing lemondrop martini & their seasonal "cowboys don't cry" bourbon concoction for fall. Absolutely delicious! The star of the show was the Cuban sandwich with sweet potato fries on the side. Mouthwatering! This place is definitely worth the few extra minutes it'll take to get off the highway, but so worth it.

Amazing food and awesome staff! The Brussels sprouts were perfect. It was a great place for a date night.

A favorite place to eat downtown! Not big so plan ahead. Reservations accepted and recommended during holidays and special occasions!

Took a chance on a Saturday night without a reservation-accommodated us at the bar and it was just fantastic! Comfortable seating, wonderful cocktails, shrimp & grits app was super and our burgers were perfect! Just such a great evening with attentive staff who really made it fun and relaxing! Thank you!

Although I returned to Bowling Green eight years ago, I had not eaten at Gerard's Tavern. My significant other stated he had been there before, but I had never.This eatery is obviously very popular and has a great following because it was quite busy on a Thursday evening around 6:30 pm. I was satisfied with my burger and sweet potato fries, and my partner was satisfied with his fish and french fries. One thing that slightly alarmed me was we did order the fried mushrooms as the appetizer special of the day. They were fabulous, but I had not realized they were $12 so it came out to ~1 per mushroom. Alas, I digress. I truly want to come in this restaurant because my ADHD South had stuck a gift card. I bought at a cancer fundraiser rally actually a few years ago. I had found it in a drawer. It did not indicate the amount, but I think it was $20-$25. The server, who had been absolutely fabulous and was training another server was gone for a while trying to settle our tab and indeed, they could not find that gift card in the system. Apparently they had changed systems and I have had a couple of gift cards expire in the past -- which I really don't think gift cards should have an expiration date.Ultimately, and good faith, they gave us $20 off the tab based on the identifiable gift card and my explanation of having had it awhile. Based on that alone, I would definitely return to this restaurant, even if the food had not been delightful. Integrity is a huge thing in my brain and I appreciate it so much.Once again, I have become quite verbose. Ultimately, I would definitely recommend dining at Gerard's Tavern, especially if you are looking for a cozy and quaint atmosphere.
