Located near Corydon is the best farm with a great selection of pumpkins, gourds, mums and whatever you need for your fall decor. The folks are super helpful and friendly, making the visit a whole lot easier and quick. Great set up, great products and you CANNOT believe how much I bought for about half the price if I had gone to a local farm. No frills, great atmosphere.I'm going back this weekend for more...I forgot to buy cornstalks! If you are looking to decorate for fall...head to Gallrein Farms'! You will not be disappointed!

We visit Gallrein every year for their fall activities. My son loves their pumpkin patch and the various activities they offer for their little guests during this beautiful season. We especially love the corn pit and the train. Their apple cider donuts are absolutely scrumptious! The only thing I would critique is the fact that parents require a wrist band as well (without it being discounted). Especially on the weekends it can get pretty pricey considering the fact that parents HAVE to join their younger children for some of the activities. That being said, it is certainly a beautiful place!

I love this farm. It's such a wonderful place to come for lunch, delicious produce, and charming items for your home. The cafe serves delicious food! I dream about their fried bologna sandwich and the pasta salad. They make their sides fresh and it rotates - baked beans, pasta salad, potato salad were all outstanding. They also offer fudge, cider doughnuts, and lots of other sweets. There are also seasonal farm events that look like lots of fun for kids. Don't miss this charming local farm!

Important: If you are visiting in October, go when Gallrein first opens for the day.We did not heed this advice and, man, were the lines long -- even on a nearly 90-degree autumn day.Thankfully my son is still a bit too young for the attractions you need a wristband for, like the slides and corn maze, so we were able to find some fun that bypassed lines. We of course had to grab some of the apple and pumpkin donuts to take home with us -- my favorite. The caramel on the apples is also great.Another tip: If you're in the store, check out at the register in the back. It had no wait, while the front registers had five people waiting at each. You can also easily find tables in the covered area next to the store. There is also a women's bathroom at the back of that area, with much shorter wait times. My son rode the carousel, which was free in this area. We also bought some animal food for $1 to feed the farm animals. The giant mound of hay bales has also become a fun treat. Before heading back home we had to pick out our pumpkins. Because of the long line to the hay ride to the pumpkin field, we opted to find some in the store. This worked out better anyway because my son loved the smaller multi-color and bumpy gourds the best. Gallrein also has wheelbarrows available if you need help getting your pumpkins back to your car.A quick note on COVID safety measures: There really aren't any. We were among the roughly 5% who wore masks inside the store. If this is important to you, know this before you go.Overall, though, I'm happy that Gallrein has become a fall tradition for my family.

I went on a Sunday late afternoon, and it was crowded. I definitely didn't realize how packed it was gonna be. The lines to do anything, even just to get food was extremely long and went by slowly. The women's bathroom line took over 30 min waiting because of the bathrooms not being cleaned and toilets clogged. Other than waiting in lines, my friends and i enjoyed the fresh apple donuts, the yummy flavored sodas, and how the orchard is set up! It was definitely a great place to take your children, not sure if i will go back because of the lines and not being able to do much activities because of it. Overall it was a decent experience.

My family has been gone here for a fall activity the last 4 years or so. My first thought about gallrein farms it it was much better the first time we went. The first time we visited it seemed like a much smaller scale pumpkin patch that had activity's that was closer to louisville than other farms and it wasn't super busy and was very low key. Fast forward today you can definitely tell the secret it out. The last 2 years we have been including this year and the place is a mad house. To started getting there can take a bit longer than expected as the traffic can be awful. The parking can be a pain also as so many people are coming and going and pedestrians tend to not pay attention to cars trying to get in and out. Sometimes you can get lucky and park close but chances are if you ain't super early your gonna be parking pretty far out. The lines for the activities for kids usually move decently well. All the staff we have ever encounter have always been very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately due to inflation the prices have increased over the years and it can be quite a priced outing if you have multiple kids wanting to do activities and get pumpkins, for a family of 4 to do activities and get 3 pumpkins and some fall treats it cost us about 200 dollars for the day this year. My 2 main complaints is that they charge everyone to ride to the pumpkin patch so when my mother went with us to help wrangle the kids she still had to pay to ride the wagon even when she had no intention of purchasing a pumpkin but was helping us get ours back. The other issue is with how busy it was when your in the gift shop/checkout area it's a mad house and often times they don't have every register open so it tends to be very crowded in the small building with people waiting to check out and others attempting to shop.

Lots of activities and things to do, but lots of downsides too. For the wristbands they charge $20 each which gives you a pass to almost everything except the Apple Cannons and a couple other activities. It sounds like you won't have to pay for anything else with the wristbands but think again! You get on the hay ride no charge (with the wristbands) to go to the pumpkin patch and once you get back they charge 0.49 per lbs. For 1 pumpkin it was $10 which is ridiculous if you already paid for the wristbands. Nothing is actually free and we ended up spending around $60 just for the activities and wristbands. Super crowded as well. It's definitely not worth it...

This is our third year coming to Gallrein Farms. This year we came on a Friday rather than a Saturday. There were a few activities closed since we came on a Friday but it was fine because our kids are smaller and do not like the Haunted House and are too small for the Super Slide. The bracelet was discounted Friday as well which was nice. We easily spend 4-5 hours here so I do believe you get your moneys worth. All of the activities are spread out adequately so you never feel claustrophobic in the crowd. The lady at the bracelet/ticket booth had a bad attitude when we had a question. We did enjoy the man operating the train. He was a delight. Loved his cheeky smile looking back at all the kids when we passed the "Bigfoot" statue. A big pass on all the food trucks with the exception of the funnel cakes. They never have enough food trucks for the crowds and the ones they do have are crazy expensive. We spent $45 on cold hot dogs, chips and bottled soda. Overall, the kids have fun here every year. While it is expensive (and a big money grab to make adults purchase bracelets to accompany kids on the train) it is a once a year event my kids enjoy.
