Galactic Alley-Cynthiana

This is a small but fun, family friendly bowling alley that is priced well for a family night or even Birthday party. Clean, cheap and plenty of lanes for bowling fun.

I like it a lot. I have been bowling here many times before, mostly on birthday parties and special occasions. It includes both with and without railing options. It has different colored bowling ball options, and it is just fun overall. I would rate 4 stars only because I have had some inconveniences before.

I was home on a recent visit and stopped by to check out the lanes. This place (under a different name and owner) was around when I was a kid.First, the place was clean. The lanes were in great condition and the staff was very attentive.I really enjoyed myself and hope they continue on. In a small town, this is *THE* place to go!

....I guess there IS something to do in this town!Bowling! Bowling isn't really my thing (I bowl a consistent 60...) but I enjoy going out and doing stuff like that once in awhile. We were excited to find this alley just north of town.We came here last night with a small group for a couple games of bowling.... during one of the UK NCAA tournament games. Needless to say, the place was pretty empty except for us, the owners, and a family bowling a few lanes down.Although the exterior of this building is slightly questionable, the inside is surprisingly nice. Almost a hidden gem. Galactic has plenty of lanes, enough balls to go around, televisions screens for scores and animations, and generally clean facilities. It's not the most modern and cleanest building ever but isn't shabby or outdated either. There's also a snack bar with reasonably priced foods and snacks while you're playing. We paid $18 for two games each and two pairs of rental shoes. It seemed a bit high for me, but I haven't bowled in awhile. And YES! They do have cosmic bowling. Always a plus. The best times to bowl are Friday and Saturday nights. They have leagues almost every night. I'm sure we'll be back... Whether or not I actually play is questionable. Ha!

This is a good place to go on a date or have a family night out. There's not to many lanes but it is one of the cleanest alleys I have seen in 3 states.

This was the firm time going to this bowling alley, for a small town, it was lively with families and leagues, I believe there was like 14 lanes, so fairly small, so we did have to wait for the leagues to end. But the place was clean, the snack bar was good, they had a nice juke box, bathroom were clean. Nothing really came across as out of order at this place. Parking was a little tight with the amount of people that were there. I'd highly recommend this is you are living in or visiting near Cynthiana and would like to bowl.

Was there this past weekend, and was grossed out by the bathrooms. They were hosting the State Elks Bowling Tournament, and you would have thought they would have wanted to make the place presentable. The smell coming from the guy's bathroom was horrible and they said it was filthy. The women's was very dirty, no one had done a proper cleaning in quite a while. When we came back for the last day of the tournament, they did have the air fresheners going in the bathrooms, but still were not cleaned.

Family friendly and super fun place to be! Always happy and fun staff and great service. Also the best soft pretzel in town
