We had a big organization party here for our girls. We rented a large pavilion and it was everything we needed! The park itself is beautiful!!

My favorite park in the state of Kentucky, and one of my favorites period. The amenity lineup is top-notch and far bigger cities would be jealous of what Elizabethtown is offering here. Disc golf? Historical sites? Shockingly nice restrooms? Paddle boats? They're all here, and a LOT more. The star of the show, of course, is the trail that circles the park. It's about a 5-mile trek and it features a perfect mix of wooded escapism and lakeside views, with an amphitheater tucked away in the trees for good measure. It's a delight during all four seasons and attracts sizeable all-ages traffic, so the atmosphere is safe and pleasant. There are also little sub-loops within the main trail if you're hungry for more.In discussions about essential stops in the Bluegrass State, Freeman Lake is often overlooked but really should be considered an essential. The Christmas light show is lovely as well, and free!

This was my first time going to Freeman Lake for the Christmas light display. It is totally worth the drive! First of all, it's free! They do take donations at the end but compared to other light displays in the city that are $30-$40 a piece, this was a great value. The drive is maybe 2-3 miles with light displays that are sponsored by local businesses. You can tune into a local radio station and listen to Christmas music while you drive through the display. Since the line is continuously moving, we waited maybe 20 minutes to get into the park. This was an enjoyable drive and I highly suggest checking it out if you are looking for light displays to see!

Great place for a family gathering, we walked around the lake (4 miles) it was a nice easy trail. Good for walking, biking or running. It also has two dog parks, one for big dogs and one for little ones. Volleyball nets and pavilions are available. There are also kayak, paddle boat and boat rentals. The park was clean and the staff was nice. The only complaint I have is that the playground equipment was for younger children (6 and under)

I come here often on weekly basis. You can usually find me running the trials with my dogs. This time we came for Christmas in the Park( we go every year) it's just a wonderful set up to see local business/churches/schools display some Christmas cheer with beautiful light and festive decorations. The roads are lighted so you can turn off your car lights to enjoy the lights and so easy to follow so you can see all the displays. they partner with a radio station, so you can listen to Christmas tunes during your drive (which makes it more magical). Each Christmas display is unique and sometime set to the theme of the business ( for example Ft. Knox has a tank in their display) that all i am going to give since you u really want to see this for yourself. They do take donations of any amount at the end to help with the cost of Christmas on the park but it is completely free to view!

Great park to dish, stroll, run and bike ride on the trails. It's clean and fresh this time of the year. And they have portable toilets if needed.

Very well kept and beautiful lake/park. Dog park is cool and has separate fenced areas for big and smaller dogs. I have seen a few humans not follow that rule though. Makes it dangerous for others (humans and our babies). Concerts are fun at this park. Love that you can rent paddle boats.
