Fred's Pizza Express

We ordered two spaghetti's, chicken nugget meal and a personal pizza meal. The pizza came to the table burnt all around the edges and they remade it and did a good job. The two spaghetti's came to the table and the sauce; was like, they had just taken it out of the refrigerator & put in on top of the spaghetti noodles, it was so cold and they must've went and put it in the microwave.., the plates, were so hot, you couldn't touch them. My next statement will show how rude the employees are there at Fred's Express. My granddaughter showed her the chicken nuggets; to the server, they were so extremely hard and so crispy & the fries, were full of grease. My granddaughter couldn't even eat; the chicken nugget meal and she looked at her and told her that there was nothing at all they could do with them, that, that is the way that they make them & she refused to even try & have the chicken nuggets made to where they were edible, so they got thrown away. This is the worst service & food; I've ever encountered at Fred's Express in Portsmouth, Ohio...

Love the sauce on the pizza and the meat sauce used for the spaghetti. The onion rings were to die for, worth the visit just for these. The fried zucchini were very tasty as well. Not a fan of the pastry style crust but clearly someone likes it given the years in business. I also like the topping on my pizza to be more cooked and these were crunchy. It was odd that all of our meals were brought out 5-10 minutes apart. One of us didn't get our meal ordered but it also wasn't accounted for on our bill so no loss. We would likely return and have more of what we enjoyed rather than the pizza.

This is an area favorite with fantastic menu options and great pizza. The crust flavor alone is great and the food is always well prepared with good quality. Although service has never been an issue for me, it does vary by location. Try the 31" pizza for your next celebration!

I had a BLT pizza and it was delicious! Also, if you need a pizza for a gathering, Fred's makes one of the largest pizzas I have ever seen!

Our deep dish pizza is cooked to perfection, as always. It is a golden crispy brown, cheese just right, and all the toppings we requested were mouth watery glistening in the light. The wings were amazing, and even the side salad had a crucial role in the game. Kudos, Fred's, kudos.

Over all the experience was okay. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Texas tenderloin sandwich. It was very good. The server was pleasant and efficient. We will have to try the pizza sometime.

Not too many pizzas being made during the holidays, but this one was and it was very good. Ordered it and picked it up within 15 minutes. Nice restaurant w/great ambience, although I took it to go, it was great to see a nice clean dining room.

The visit today with 6 family members was the worst experience ever. Waited 45 minutes for a crispy chicken salad to be brought to the table after everyone else had eaten. Then when we complained the manager decided to come to the table with a bad attitude blaming us for complaining cause the kitchen was "slammed with only 3 ppl back there!" Will not be returning.

Doesn't get any better. Had the antipasta salad. Lot of food and delicious. Highly recommend.

My family has been a customer of Fred's Pizza Express for years. Their food is delicious, customer service is excellent and delivery service efficient. I would highly recommend this business for either carry out or delivery orders. Awesome people.
